Top Appalachian Mountains Hotel Reviews

Wilderness at the Smokies – River Lodge Suites

10/10 Excellent

"Staff was helpful. Check in line took awhile, followed by a person that wanted to get you to listen to time share offers. Which we have no interest, own 2 homes already. Had a fun time with 2 grandkids for Holloween festivities. Pool was great fun, arcade (4 machines took our money, didn't work, attendant gave us credit) ate at deli and burger place, both good."

The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Gatlinburg

8/10 Good

"Room was clean , we didn’t use the pool or eat at the restaurant, staff was pleasant. Hotel need a little renovation on sink and balcony, Ac unit is quite noisy and bathroom is small - otherwise everything is nice and trolley is nice and convenient"

Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Water Park

10/10 Excellent

"We had a great stay at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort! The property is absolutely beautiful, and the indoor water park is a huge plus, especially for families with kids. Just keep in mind that there is an additional fee to use the water park. The rooms are exactly what you pay for, so if you’re looking for more space or extra amenities, I would definitely recommend upgrading and paying the difference. There were only two downsides to our stay. First, the check-in process took an extremely long time. The front desk staff seemed to be taking their time, with very little urgency to get guests checked in, which was frustrating after a long day of traveling. Our other complaint was the cleanliness of the carpets in our room. They were extremely dirty and honestly looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a very long time. This was disappointing and definitely something housekeeping should pay more attention to. Aside from those two issues, everything else was wonderful! We really enjoyed the beautiful property, the amenities, and our overall experience. With a little improvement in housekeeping and check-in efficiency, this resort could be even better!"
