Vacation apartment Panoramablick

  • This beautiful, historic apartment is located in a rural, secluded setting with sweeping views of the Alpstein.
    It has 3.5 rooms; in keeping with architectural traditions, the ceiling height is 1.75 in some areas.
    A pellet stove provides warmth in the winter.
    The small bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet, and large sink, as well as a mirror cabinet and vanity. Hand soap, toilet paper, and a towel are provided. Please bring your own shower supplies (bath towel, shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer—no adapter provided).

    The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. In the summer, fresh produce from the garden is available (for an additional fee)

    Hiking trails and biking routes are accessible right from the house. There’s plenty to discover and do in the surrounding area.

Linda’s house was absolutely adorable in a picturesque setting right in the heart of the Appenzell region. The views from her home were magnificent. She made check-in a breeze. Parking was a little tight but do-able. The ceilings were very low, at about 5’6” so my 6’4” husband kept hitting his head on the beams. The master bedroom mattress was a little hard to my liking so I slept on the couch one night. Also, there were no towels or washcloths in the room but she graciously provided us with her own supply when I asked. There is no hairdryer provided in the bathroom and no tv or wifi in the accommodation. But to be honest, that didn’t bother me at all. The point of our vacation was to disconnect from the world and just enjoy each other’s company without distractions. We loved it! My husband even suggested we try to book more time there. The house is only about 7min from the Ebenalp lift and about 20 min from Appenzell town proper. You must have a car to reach the property- it’s too far to walk from the train station. There are cows with cowbells everywhere and my kids loved that. Linda also provided a basket of art supplies in the living area so my kids could unplug and just draw and create artwork together- it was very thoughtful. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend this accommodation to future guests.
