"We held a work retreat at this location and it was incredible! Chirs was very helpful and communicative, and our check-in and check-out process was great! We enjoyed the cottage, the location right across from the beach, and the use of the sauna, hot tub and canoe and kayaks! Don't forget the firepit and the beautiful backyard. The front yard is also gorgeous and calming! We loved it! We would love ot return for our annual retreat next year, and highly recommend this place! "

"I had a great stay. We went up with 3 families, each with two kids and everyone had a blast. The house has a spectacular kitchen with an open concept that accommodated all of us comfortably. Location was great, quick drive from Toronto and then you’re immediately on a lake. Kids loved heading on the lake with kayaks, the gas fireplace, and just lounging in the pool. The town was also very close to pick up any last minute supplies and to just walk around with nice little shops and restaurants....

"Everything was great..some minor issues but it is cottage in winter so some glitches are expected. Overall we had a great time."

The Gathering Place on Golden Ponds

10/10 Excellent

"Annette and Al welcomed us upon our arrival, and we couldn't overlook their adorable little dog, Ginger. Annette showed us to our room, which was so cozy and lovely. Al gave us offerings for breakfast the next morning. This property is truly a gem. It offers a peaceful atmosphere that's perfect for strolling through the beautiful gardens, where the flowers are simply gorgeous. We enjoyed a nightcap on the patio and had a wonderful night's sleep, feeling right at home. Al prepared his famous blueberry pancakes for breakfast. They were undoubtedly the best pancakes we've ever tasted, so light and fluffy! If you seek peace and tranquillity, this is the perfect place. Annette and Al are truly wonderful people; it feels as though we've known them forever. They are very talented; Annette is a quilter, and Al does scroll work. We purchased from their gift shop. It's always a pleasure to support local artisans who pour their heart and soul into their work."

"The property was absolutely amazing, and everyone in our group had a fantastic stay. The open living space was perfect for gathering, and there were plenty of bathrooms (4) to comfortably accommodate our large group. The home was fully equipped with everything we needed for a stress-free trip.The heated floors were a treat, and the indoor sauna, hot tub, and outdoor heated pool were definite highlights of our stay. Tons of kayaks, paddle boats, 2 docks, and the outdoor area was immaculate.Its location is great, just a short drive into town with lots of restaurants to choose from (and don’t miss Kawartha’s ice cream!).The host was outstanding; quick to respond and incredibly accommodating. When we mentioned we needed a vacuum, she went out and bought a brand new one for the property.Overall, 10/10 experience. We would absolutely come back again!"
