9.4/10 Exceptional! (80 reviews)
Staff engagement/service are at International 5-star levels. Breakfast choice/range/service excellent. Minor disappointment is smaller rooftop pool is 30-40cm deep so really there for show but that's a property design restriction. Overall an excellent team and a very well run hotel. IHG would do well to send this property management team elsewhere in the group to improve other management teams (Intercontinental Forshan, Doha, ANA Tokyo to name a few!)

8.4/10 Very good! (568 reviews)
"This place wouldn't even clear a 1-star rating by US standards. Walking into the room, it was shockingly filthy: we found multiple stray hairs (pubes) in the bathroom, and both bedspreads had large, clearly visible dirty stains all over them. To top it off, there were actual shoe prints on the ceiling. ..."

"Drinks are 3 times more expensive in the hotel to what they are outside. The doors slam loud causing the room to literally vibrate. But everything else is amazing. The property is spotlessly clean. The choices for breakfast is amazing. Staff are brilliant."

"Hotel Puerta de Nerja was perfect for our stay! Ideally located, beautifully maintained, and very well managed. The room was spacious and comfortable, with an amazing bathroom and an excellent bed. Despite the local festival taking place during our visit, outside noise was barely noticeable at night, ..."
