"Room very small for 4 star furniture in hotel.its self very dusty not enough light in room.only double bed not good breakfast just ok restaurant outside excellent for food and staff amazing love bunbeg but hotel little disappoint ing the rate you gave us was £360 ,but we paid extra told the manager n o entertainment especially Easter I called our room a box room if we paid more would have got better room but to me not 4 star for the money many thanks"

"Beautiful property in a wonderful location. Easy walking distance to Patsy Dan’s and Rusty Oven. We had some “typical weather” for our trip, but made the most of Donegal’s sights. Fanad Head, Pallet Sea Arch and Glenveagh were highlights. Highly recommended "

"We loved our stay here, hotel is great, in the perfect location walking distance to the beach. The bar/restaurant is great for dinner and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only disappointing thing for us is that we chose this hotel mainly because of the swimming pool (for the kids). It was only when we checked in that we realised the pool is actually located offsite at a local leisure centre in a caravan park - 1 mile drive from the hotel. The pool is also only available at certain times of the day, around the pool’s other uses. This is the only downfall and we felt it was very misleading when booking this hotel. However. Soft play is also available at the local leisure centre which the kids loved. "

"A family friendly old farmhouse which suited our 8 family members, aged from 3 to quite a bit older. Beautifully secluded with plenty of ground around the house and acres of exploring along the lake shore. We were there at the end of March and the weather was cool and blustery, though we didn't have much rain. Only a 5 minute drive to the lovely beach at Ballyhiernan Bay. We visited Fanad Lighthouse and took the tour which was worth it. Also fished from the pier at Ballyhoorisky and explored the shoreline around here. We also did a little hillwalking, climbing nearby Murren Hill, though it does have a road pretty much to the top. Lots of relaxing at the house was on the menu. There are plenty of books and good Wi-Fi, though if you like to watch TV in the evening bring your own, which we did with no hassle. In warmer weather you could see how you could make much more use of the grounds which would be brilliant. There were no fish rising in the lake as it was still too cold, though there are spots on the ground to fish from. Kitchen was small, though it suited our needs and there was a separate dining room. Cosy and warm with the oil heating which was easy to adjust and the open fire was great in the evenings, there was some wood to keep us going and we found more beachcombing and added a bag of coal which all lasted us the week.We recieved all the information we needed to find and access the house and would definitely consider returning. "
