Charming Boutique Villa Between Milan and Lake Como, golf and gourmet

Peaceful vacation - North Italian lifestyle

"Our family (8 people) gathered for Easter Vacation at the Poggio Verde villa. We have rented several villas in the past decade in Italy, Spain, Greece and France, but this one was definitely the most comfortable and peaceful one. We were lucky to meet the very kind owners and learn a bit more from them on the history of the villa and region. The garden is amazing, with old trees and flowers, plenty of spaces calling for meditation. We also liked the open kitchen which is fully equipped as well as the multiple dining and sitting rooms, where we even played the piano. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit as well as restaurants for those who would like a more active holiday, around the lakes and mountains within 45mn-60mn drive, and also various towns including Milano (there's a convenient train station not to far away, to avoid traffic jams). Each bedroom has its own bathroom so the villa is also very convenient for a group or even professional gathering. Highly recommended."

Cosy Northern Italian country retreat w/shared pool and AC

Amazing apartment in beautiful location

"My friends and I (3 couples) stayed in this beautiful apartment in August and we will definitely be back! It's an easy drive from Milan airport, and sits in a gated estate in the hills above Barzano, a sleepy nearby town. The apartment has clearly been refurbished recently and it's clean, well-equipped and very spacious, but still has the charm of a grand old Italian villa. The rooms all had AC, Wi-Fi and super comfortable beds. The weather was amazing so we spent our time swimming in the lovely pool, walking in the gardens and exploring the area. It's a very quiet and private place, and we loved cooking and eating on the terrace - the property is high up in the hills and the views are astonishing. Gretchen was incredibly helpful, and provided us with some great recommendations for restaurants and walks in the nearby forest. Overall a very relaxing and refreshing stay. Family oriented residence - Exclusive position , large heated pool & gardens

Great stay!

"Attentive host, Nicola, who was very helpful. Great communication before and during the stay. House is charming, rustic, clean and well-appointed. A few steep steps up to the front door, but great views of Lake Garlate from the garden. Stairs in the house and narrow and steep so caution for very young children. The main bedroom has a lovely terrace. The second bedroom just fits 2 single beds almost pushed together, so suitable for a couple or younger children. The pool area and play area were clean, spacious and well maintained and never too busy (we were there during the last week of July 2024). Pool and play area are only a 2 minute walk from the house. Parking is also a 2 minute walk away but up a hill (the area is generally quite hilly). The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle and 2 electric hobs. Lots of great places to visit nearby - Lecco, Bellagio, Menaggio, Bellano (the caves), Jungle Raider Park at Civenna, the beach at Onno (great for swimming in the Lake). We had a great stay at La Terrazze and would recommend it. Thank you, Nicola! there during the last week of July 2024)"

July 1 night stay en-route to lake como

"Nice hotel, in a residential area so it does a great job of providing everything you could need. Lovely pool area with an onsite bar, changing rooms, lockers etc. great selection of healthy, fresh, tasty breakfast items. Restraint and bar was a little pricey for our tastes but menu looked perfect for gastro types :). Aircon in room seemed lacking, we did stay during peak summer but it felt like the room never got below 28°c"
