Qema feels like an arctic oasis, there’s lots of fun spots to sit or explore around their beautiful campus, but you’re still mere steps away from the historical center and many of the tourist sites. I was in the shared female only dorm which was clean, comfortable, and felt safe & secure. Would highly recommend qema.

The pool area with a treehouse and a suspended bed. The staff was great, we arrived early and they placed us in their Cinema & Library until the receptionist arrived. Staff was helpful with any questions and assistance we needed.

Everything was great overall. The only issue was that I was double charged for the stay. I had paid through Expedia, but at check-in the staff didn’t see the payment, so I paid again. Later, the hotel issued a refund once the mistake was discovered. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and I really enjoyed it.

Great choice for Arequipa

Terrific shared open area where guests lounged, relaxed, read or ate. Nice vibe. My only gripe was that my room was quite cold (it is winter). One night there was live music, whcih added to the ambience

Really enjoyed my stay here. Beautiful grounds with lots of common spaces (both indoors and outdoors) to sit and relax, enjoyed the free yoga class and was easy to organise tours etc. Staff were lovely and helpful and it was clear the hostel was well taken care of. Good location - the main plaza was a short walk away. A few notes on the dorms… one bathroom for a 12 bed dorm wasn’t enough (even just a sink in the room would’ve been helpful) and the bed lockers/under bed storage weren’t big enough for most backpacks so the floor space was always taken up with everyone’s bags - quite a hazard at night!

The private rooms are great but the property is way overpriced causing no travelers to hang out. Coffee is bad, double espresso is just a single with extra water. They charge you up for everything you buy or organise. Not a big fan, won’t stay again

We stayed two night as a rest point, as well as used the services to book the colca canyon tour. Super convenient and clean, great food and great bar. We stayed in the suite and the hot water shower was so enjoyable. The only very weird thing is the suite includes a coffee machine...but you have to buy the coffee to put in it. Makes no sense
