"This hotel is very nice. The views from our room on the upper terrace were amazing. However, with that came the long steep walk up and down to get to the “bar” or restaurant. The room was very clean and ac worked great. You need to ask at the front desk if you want a hot pot and instant coffee for the room. The walls are kind of thin and we had a very loud group in the room next to us one night. The bar really is not a bar. It is a couple of booths in the corner of the restaurant behind a few curtains. The breakfast was very good. The food in the “bar” was just okay. Did not have the dinner buffet. With that being said we would definitely stay here again. "

"A fantastic B&B in Peso de Régua, beautiful property in the Duoro Valley. A bit of a walk to town, and would Not recommend walking as it is up on a hill and walking up will be exercise! Fine for us but not for everyone. Nestled above a beautiful river valley and in win country. Great staff to help."

"Cannot wait to return to this place! It’s like getting a private look into the winery and the hosts make you feel so important from check in to check out. We slept in on the first day (knowingly missing the included breakfast time) but they made fresh breakfast for us any way without our asking. The views are outstanding! Full access to request bottles of wine be left for you in the evening and you definitely want to request the charcuterie board!! Bathrooms are open to the rest of the room so make sure you are comfortable with your roommate hearing/witnessing all activities there (not a problem for us but, for awareness). Certainly a bed and breakfast vibe. We had a fun time meeting the other guests and chatting in the evening on the deck while enjoying our wine and tapas. "

"This was a very unexpected and wonderful experience. The location is in a very small town. Make sure you use google maps or you might go to the wrong location. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. The husband is a chef and will cook you an amazing dinner and they have wonderful wines from their vineyard. The vineyard is operated by their twin daughters and it is a great story. If you are in the area this is definitely the place you want to stay. "

"Excellent hotel, first impression very good the reception team, due to our Platanium membership upgraded the room. They also helped in staying an extra night and keeping same room and arranging a wine tasting and lunch at the hotels winery 10 minutes away. Bar and restaurant serve great food and drinks and you can look over the Duoro river from both, and also eat and drink on the terrace. Rooms comfy and spacious - fabulous hotel to explore the Duoro - Pinhao is just 25 mins drive away. We had a great time here"

"We enjoyed this hotel. We had a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the Douro River. Dinner in the luxury dining room was excellent but expensive. Bar food was good and reasonably priced. The pool was nice. We enjoyed the town with winery visits and boat trips. The only really odd thing was that the bottom of the shower door does not come to the floor and water flooded the bathroom floor. This happened to our friends also, so it was not just our room. You learn to stand in one small spot to wash. Odd, I would say. "

"Beautiful and quiet Hotel. Room was big and clean. Loved the nice balcony as well. Inside and outdoor pool was a big plus. Bring a bathing cap if you want to use the indoor pool Great service from staff. Good food as well!"
