Great Hotel in lovely grounds

We had a great stay at this Hotel. The room was spacious, well thought-out, and we had a lovely view over the extensive grounds. This Hotel loves sports, lots of facilities, especially for bicyclists. The whole building is full of light and space. Would definitely recommend. The staff were great - their English is wonderful!

Hotel Papendal is a no frills contemporary yet comfortable basic stay hotel used for the Dutch Olympics team. Amazing value, but you get what you expect. Food in the bar wasn't great, but plenty of places nearby to visit instead. Would recommend for a stay when visiting the Airborne Museum ‘Hartenstein’ in Oosterbeek.

Maan tasalla sijainnut huone oli kylmä ja ankea. Rikkinäinen verho riippui ikkunassa. Virkailija puhui puhelimessa samalla, kun kirjasi meidät sisään ja antoi avaimen. Netistä ei löytynyt englanninkielisiä ohjeita hotellin aktiviteetteihin. Ylihintainen laatuun verrattuna.

Kamer eenvoudig maar goed. Goed bed echter smal. Ontbijt koste €20,00. vind dit schandalig. Ook eten was niet optimaal. Hele kleine porties voor maximale prijzen. Verder net personeel.

Prachtig hotel in bosrijke omgeving

Mooi hotel in bosrijke omgeving. Vriendelijk ontvangen bij de receptie, mooie kamer, schoon, goede bedden. We gingen naar concert in Gelredome, hebben in het restaurant een heerlijke kipsate plate gegeten met frites en sla. Daarna met de Uber naar Gelredome. Ook stopt er openbaar vervoer, maar je zit wel 40 minuten in de bus naar Arnhem, dat is wat minder. Ontbijt was ok, had iets meer variatie gemogen in het beleg en wellicht ook wat rauwkost, tomaat, komkommer etc. neerzetten. Verder was het een prima verblijf, komen zeker nog eens terug.

Topverblijf

Het was een rustige kamer op de 2e verdieping met een handdoekrekje uit aluminium dus geen schimmel zoals op de houten stokken uit andere kamers. De bedden waren ook beter dan normaal. Het personeel is altijd supervriendelijk. Bedankt om te luisteren naar mijn vorige review.

Algemeen tevreden op enkele belangrijke details na

Ik ben al verschillende keren verbleven in Papendal en het enige dat mij echt stoort zijn de beschimmelde stokken waar de handdoeken over hangen in de badkamer. Zwarte schimmel is zeer ongezond en ik vind dat hier dringend iets aan gedaan moet worden. Ofwel opschuren ofwel behandelen ofwel vervangen van de stokken. En liefst door stokken die vernist zijn. Daarnaast is het afhankelijk van welke kamer je krijgt of je een goed of een slecht bed hebt. Deze keer was mijn bed volledig doorgelegen. Verder vind ik het ontbijt en de sauna een pluspunt.

Fijn hotel dat met de auto goed te bereiken is. We hebben heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant en het ontbijt is een aanrader! De kamer maakt over het algemeen een wat gedateerde indruk, maar de bedden zijn perfect en de douche is oké.
