"The property was ideally situated to tour all the surrounding WW2 beaches. A unique property which was fascinating and of a very high standard. Lovely welcome from Ann upon arrival."
"A cozy, unpretentious B&B, with a pleasant, helpful innkeeper.
The environment is very peaceful, with the sound of the waves in the background.
A short walk to the beach was very pleasant. "

"Hotel was very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly.
There was coffee and tea, sugar, bottled water and cups and saucers supplied, but NO milk allowed in the rooms, so we were unable to make tea, which was very peculiar. Why bother to supply the tea and coffee, as advertised?"
"Very comfortable stay, with lovely grounds and breakfast. No evening meal service except for a simple bar charcuterie...but with so many restaurants within 500 metres it's simply not a problem to eat out."
"Unbelievably beautiful property. Sandrine and Rodolf were amazing hosts and their place is a bucolic sanctuary. Every detail well apportfrom food to decoration to cleanliness to attentiveness. I cannot recommend this property enough. "
"My wife and I have been wanting to stay at the Hotel de la Marine for almost 20 years, since we ate at the restaurant there. Our stay of a single night was quite special. The excellent and friendly staff arranged a sea-view room for us and we were delighted with our views over la manche. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and the food lived up to our previous expectations. Whole crab, followed by Dover sole and lobster linguine.....and an excellent bottle of Quincy vin blanc. Many thanks to the Hotel de la Marine! Merci beaucoup!"
"Receptionist Marie was fantastic throughout our trip. Even helped me practice my limited French vocabulary.
The hotel is little basic, but was great place for exploring the central DDay landing sites.
I would definitely stay at this place again"
"Very comfortable, welcoming, pleasant hotel in a great location.
We had a warm, friendly welcome at L’Ideal Mountbatten.
The hotel is small and unassuming but the rooms are lovely and comfortable.
It’s a great base for Arromanches-les-Bains and Normandy in general, including the D-Day beaches.
We would like to have stayed longer - highly recommend. Good value too!"
Luxury accommodation on the historic beach of Arromanches
10/10 Excellent
"It was a perfect location, very private but close to everything in Town. We would definitely stay there again. We were happy to find free parking down the main street. The shop owner by the entrance was very friendly and was happy to answer our questions."
"Located mid way between Arromanches and Asnelles over looking Gold beach. A short walk to either. Good routes for cycling, as we did, but there are a couple of decent hills either direction. Plenty if beach activities to keep all entertained. Now home and missing waking up to the sound of the sea and overlooking the beach. "
