"A spacious property, in a great location, with easy access to the Normandy Beaches and surrounding areas. Check-in was handled brilliantly by Philippe, who was very friendly. The house was clean and very comfortably furnished, with a well equipped kitchen. All bedrooms are large with good quality beds and bedding. The lovely garden is fully enclosed and secure, which our dog absolutely loved. We spent two weeks at the property and would highly recommend it - one of the best holidays we've had...."

"Le séjour chez Ghislaine et Hervé s’est très bien déroulé. Nous avons été très bien accueilli et nos hôtes ont toujours répondu à nos sollicitations tout en restant très discret. La piscine est vraiment remarquable et le terrain clos a été particulièrement apprécié par nos chiens. Nous n’avons eu aucune mauvaise surprise et tout était conforme à ce qui était présenté sur le site. Nous recommandons bien évidemment"

"The location of the house itself was amazing; right on the water, beautiful views, walking distance to restaurants and stores. The house is spacious and was extremely clean. The host was super responsive, usually responding back within 30 minutes, when we had questions. The bathroom situation was a little awkward. In two of the rooms, the toilet is right next to / faces the bed. No separation, no walls, no privacy. The upstairs shower is also on a balcony looking down at the kitchen/nook table, and you need to walk on the balcony in order to get back to the bedroom. When we travelled (August 2026), it was hot. The house does not have Air Conditioning (AC). There is a nice breeze coming in from the water, but when ever we opened the windows at night, dozens of bugs, mostly flys and spiders would enter the house. After the first night, we had to sleep with the windows closed, making for a very hot and uncomfortable sleeping experience. The shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent and toilet paper weren't well stocked. There were 7 of us staying there (one family) for four days, and on our last night, we pretty much ran out of everything.The kitchen was super modern and had ample plates, cups and cutlery. The dishwasher was also convenient and modern. If this place had AC or even bug screens on the windows, and was better stocked it would be a 10/10 every day of the week."

18th century stone house in the heart of the D-Day landing beaches

"We found this VRBO to be an excellent choice. We are a family of 13, My wife and myself (retired seniors) our son and daughter (40's) with their spouses and grand children ranging from 20 down to 12. It was magical. The uniqueness of the property immediately had the grandkids claiming they were certain it was haunted. The handbook for the property assured us it was not. The open windows into the courtyard served to copy many Disney choruses for a musical interlude. We are sure that this stay will be included in many of the tales told of the trip. There were adequate sleeping areas, The bathrooms took a little coordinating. The courtyard was a great gathering space. The building had many features that were discovered gradually over time.Our host reached out to us and confirmed all was ready for our time there. We were able to fit 3 cars into the parking area immediately in front of the building, with others close by (50 m) if needed.The location was close (by auto - too far for walking) to many eating choices and close to locations such as Juno Beach. We would not would not hesitate to book this again should we travel with a group."
