With the continuation of the COVID-19 outbreak, travelling now comes with a few additional challenges. Have a read over these helpful tips before jumping on your plane to Ascension Island:

• Before you lock in a flight, check if any travel restrictions apply — in both your origin and destination. Keep informed with the latest updates by checking government and airport websites.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to adjust your mask to verify your identity.
• To minimize the risk of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA agent.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on luggage. It must be no larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• Place any personal items (phone, keys and wallet) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during screening.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA employee will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
