Our family of four 2 pups had a great stay. They house is a perfect mountain house, the hot tub was a great treat on a cold day. Our pups loved the closed-in deck so they could chew sticks while we soaked. The house has easy access to Asheville's downtown. We will stay again!

This was a great property to accommodate a group. It is in a quiet private area. It could stand a few minor repairs but overall was a perfect getaway for our group.

I stayed at the cabin with 10 other girls for a 50th birthday weekend! We enjoyed sitting on the deck, getting in the hot tub, and listening to music. The weather was fabulous! We were able to get Ubers to Asheville and back! We had a great trip!

We loved our stay at Bear’s Den. It was cozy and had everything we needed. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the location. We wiped the place down and it was filthy. There was a horrible smell that ended up being the area rug in the living room. We removed it and had to clean up. Overall we left the place cleaner than when we came and are still charged the cleaning fee which is rough.

We were supposed to be going to Tybee Island for the week but Hurrican Debby had other things in mind. We had to change plans and decided Asheville was the place to go. We were thrilled to find this place last minute and Rebecca was very helpful! The beds were very comfy!

My family had a great time. We love spending our Christmas vacation around the cozy wood fireplace and would definitely rent it again. It was so nice to also have the cabin decorated for the holiday season. Really convenient location close to Asheville and shopping.

Renting this property was very easy. The pictures explaining what the cabin had to offer was great. Rebecca the property manager made herself available if needed. Enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was very nice and large. It could’ve used a good cleaning, master bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke. overall, it was roomy and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here with a group of 8. Property was perfect for us with plenty of space to hang out, relax, and cook. It is challenging to get Ubers or Lyfts at this location so we ended up driving to and from downtown Asheville which wasn’t an issue. Host was very responsive. Highly recommend as a cabin getaway!

We loved staying at "Bear's Den"! The cabin is spacious, and meticulously clean. We were easily able to accomodate 8 people during our stay. Asheville was only 20 minutes away, so we had the pleasure of staying in a mountain retreat, while being very close to the city attractions. This location was also within 30 minutes of Chimney Rock, Bat's Cave, and Lake Lure. It had a full kitchen so we were able to eat in, or eat out. We enjoyed sight seeing during the day, and hanging out at the cabin in the evening. I am hoping that this cabin is available the next time we visit Asheville!

This was a perfect getaway for our family. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked, the decor was lovely, and the beds were comfortable. It was a terrific place to hang out, cook on the grill, enjoy the hot tub and roast marshmallows at the fire pit outside. It’s about 15 minutes to the Biltmore estate and downtown Asheville. Mountain trails, waterfalls, shopping, and the art district were also close by. This perfect rustic getaway was hard to leave. The host was very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bears Den. We hope to make this a yearly vacation destination.

This house was perfect for our HS reunion trip for the seven of us. The house was immaculate, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The huge wrap around deck was used every day along with the great Jacuzzi. Very convenient to Asheville and Black Mountain, but tucked up into the woods with complete privacy. We did not take advantage of the nice fire pit - next time! It was great!

Our first family Christmas trip was a huge success and this house was a big part of it! So comfortable. Nicely decorated for Christmas with adorable reindeer mugs as well! Very nice touch. The dining room table being circular allowed for many comfortable game nights. We all appreciated the cozy blankets and the fireplace. Comfortable bedding and wonderful deck. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

My family of 8 stayed at the Bear’s Den Mountain Cabin for a few days in March and we couldn’t have been happier with the place. The kitchen was very nice and roomy, with newer appliances and plenty of counter space for our cooking. The big round table was perfect for our big meal, and there were enough chairs for the eight of us around the table. The high-speed wireless internet was great to have too! It was very clean and warm. The bedrooms are all very nice and cozy. The whole place oozes with charm. The driveway is steep, Rebecca is not joking about that! But overall, we all loved the place and we were sad to leave. If our travels bring us back to the area, we will definitely be coming back for more!

This home was exactly as described and better than the pictures. 11 of us stayed for 5 days and were very comfortable. The deck was just beautiful and felt so private. We did not need to bring anything except groceries. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely. I will definitely stay here again. The drive to Asheville was a breeze as was the drive to the Biltmore. You felt as though you were far out and up in the mountains but it took no time at all to get where you wanted to go. Pisgah Forest and then right up to Blue Ridge Parkway is all so close, with it's breathtaking views. Mostly, we loved the place so much that we just stayed put and enjoyed time with friends & family. Lovely, lovely home.

We enjoyed the property, location, and house however there is no waterfall on "property grounds" like the listing says. When I reached out to the owner she said it's not on the property and she took the photo while she was on a hike. Unfortunately I booked this property with my kids thinking when we got back to the house they would have something to do and play in however that was not the case. We were very disappointed in that and probably wouldn't have booked this house had we known there was no waterfall.

We were really pleased with our stay at this cabin. It is warm and inviting. The owners have decorated it with lots of quality furnishings. And added some humor as well. The king bed was super comfortable. Everything was very clean. It is located in a really convenient place to explore the area, Very easy to get to and from Asheville. Food Lion just minutes away. It is tucked into lots of trees on a hillside, so there is a lot of privacy. Quiet too. Hot tub, wood-burning fireplace, and outside fir3e pit were great to have. If we are back in this area, we will be sure to see if it is available. And bring family and friends to enjoy. It is a house to be shared. Thank you so much

This lovely cabin in the woods was nothing short of perfect in the lush season of Fall. Colorful trees nestled around our hidaway. It was a joy to wake up in the morning to hear the birds, smell the fresh outdoors and know that another day of adventure in Asheville awaited. Everytime our family has visited here, we're reminded about how lucky we are to have found this little piece of heaven. This cabin, and I use the term loosely---as it has four spacious bedrooms, a large family room and spacious kitchen and dining area, is idealy located close to all the sights that make Asheville so popular. But, it sits on a wooded hillside, secluded from the neighboring hustle and bustle of tourists. WHAT PERFECTION!

This spacious cabin offers a wonderful retreat for the entire family. It's perfect for a family reunion or a romantic getaway! We've visited Bear's Den several times and always found it to be welcoming, clean, and country cozy. The owner is an artist and her style is reflected in the lovely decor of each room. With four bedrooms, there's plenty of space for everyone in the family to sleep in comfort. The unobstructed view of the surrounding forest makes this retreat perfect in any time of year. We've come during every season and enjoyed the beauty of the fall leaves as well as the spring buds. We were even snowed-in one perfectly wonderful winter weekend. The Rustic pine kitchen is completely stocked with dishes, pots, pans and every utensil one might need. The beds are extremely comfortable. It's easy to feel right at home. The surrounding highlights of Asheville and the Mountains are close by. We've come to see this mountain retreat as our home away from home. It really is bargain for extended families or close friends. I highly recommend this wonderful vacation retreat.
