Hike or relax with scenic views of the Hickory Nut Gorge in beautiful NC. This upstairs one-bedroom apartment above our home has it's own entrance and balcony over looking a mountain view. Newly furnished with premium queen size bedding, a kitchenette, a full bathroom and a large TV/ dining area with an additional sleeping couch. We provide an outdoor living room to enjoy the mountain view and a stocked fireplace for a cozy night with your loved ones. You may also enjoy the natural beauty in the outdoor hot tub. The area boasts many outdoor attractions and restaurants to keep you busy. Amenities include : central air and heat, ceiling fans, cotton sheets, towels, soaps and shampoo, clothes iron, hair dryer, toaster, microwave, under-counter frig, dishes and coffee maker, 37' flat screen TV, DVD player, Wifi and a hot tub.

Delightful, restful place to stay and relax!
Friendly hosts, peaceful setting, plus a much- appreciated hot tub! And in addition to the furnished apartment, a wonderful outdoor living room complete with fireplace and lovely mountain vista. Delightful!

Quiet weekend
Property was very nice, not on listed road so hopefully directions are on point. Great location and property owners. Clean and had no issues with privacy, would express that if it’s what you are seeking. Five stars for apartment with home owners present. Very dog friendly but pack a crate. Also, visit lake lure area if you get a chance, the lake beach is not dog friendly.

The place is really nice, cozy, and clean. Great views, and hot tub. Perfect location; secluded enough to be private and quiet, but conveniently close to Chimney Rock and Asheville. The host was communicative and a delight overall.

overall stay was nice but one thing that really sucked is we were not told that the hot tub was not working until we got there. every vacation I typically spend an extra $30 a night just for the hot tub and the owners thought it would be fair to reimburse me $30 when I stayed 3 nights which in my opinion was not a fair price. so, if you are like me and a hot tub is a must for your vacations, I recommend calling first or looking elsewhere. other than that, the town of Batcave is very quiet and most things close by 8pm so make sure you grab something to eat and drink. they do have a winery called burntshirt that is very nice and has fair prices. the city of Ashville is 30 min away and has lots of shops, good views and was a lot of fun.

This is a sweet, charming 2nd floor space of the owner's home. It is so unique. It has a spacious living room with a TV and a large selection of movies. I And part of this living room space has a little kitchenette, not for cooking, just a sink, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. It has a nice bathroom with bathtub and shower. And it has nice size bedroom with a lovely large window. Everything is spotlessly clean. In addition to this private and romantic space, there is a beautiful, I don't know how to describe it - garden house separate from the main house. It has huge windows to take in the beauty of the surrounding mountains. It has a lovely fire place and comfy couches. Wow. It's the perfect place to build a fire at night to enjoy a glass of wine. Or to sip your morning cup of coffee and drink in the beauty of Western North Carolina. We were here in the beginning of May and it was a bit too cold for us to take advantage of the hot tub, but I can imagine how fun it would have been to enjoy being in the warm bubbly water at the end of a day of sightseeing in the inky blackness of this mountain oasis. The grounds are magical ,too with flowers, trees and whimsical stepping stones. Everything is well-tended and arranged for a magical effect. We were in town for our son's graduation at a college in Swannanoa, and we also spent a lot of time in Asheville. It was so nice to come back to this peaceful place each night to relax and unwind.

Staying outside Asheville
Was a nice getaway for me and my boyfriend. Enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful views of mountains, weather was also fantastic that weekend. The only downside was the toilet flusher was a string that broke when we got there and the satellite TV went down while staying there. Otherwise, great place and nice people.
