What a great place when visiting Mt Rainier National Park! Very close to the entrance. Nice restaurant and brewery next door, house was well kept and extremely clean. Would definitely stay again.
Our group of 4 was doing a course with RMI. This was the perfect spot: right next to the HQ and with all the amenities we could ask for. Great fit for our needs.
Had a great weekend with my father at Mt. Rainier. My dad can be pretty grumpy and picky, but he was extremely impressed with The Outlook, and it made the weekend trip far more comfortable than any of the nearby hotels would have been. It was comfortable, very clean, with great amenities and in a perfect location. Also really appreciated the clear communication from the owner. Thank you!
This is a house with three bedooms and 2 baths. It has a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. We enjoyed our stay here so much, exploring Mt. Ranier and we even rode the Sound Transit to Seattle but there was nothing quite like returning to The Overlook. It is simply amazing.
A great place for 2 couples! It met our need very well. We appreciated the washer and drier and enjoyed having a comfortable place to play games in the evening after hiking in Mt Rainier.
Nice property, exactly as described! Three good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, large kitchen, eating area and living room. Well air conditioned and very clean and comfortable. Quiet location away from the road. Excellent location, just minutes outside of Mt Rainier National Park! Highly recommend
This house was great for our Mt Ranier trips! House could use adding more kitchen supplies as was limited to 1 pot, no wine glasses, etc. But overall was a good stay!
Great space with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Will recommend to our friends with 2 or more kids as the perfect base camp for Mt. Rainier!Stayed 2 nights in mid June. Weather was terrible during our day in the park. Would def recommend 3 nights minimum and grocery shop before you get to town. Base Camp and Wildberry were great for dinners!
A nice place for my family to stay as we visited Mt. Rainier NP. We enjoyed the comforts of the cabin and that it was adjacent to a coffee bar (with good ice cream) and pizza place (also excellent.) being six miles from the park’s entrance made our experience enjoyable.
Don’t expect the Four Seasons, but in my view this is the Four Seasons of Ashford. Super-clean, very comfortable, well equipped and superb location for those planning on expeditions with RMI. Terrific host as well. Was a pleasure to stay here!
This is an amazing property! We had a great time using it as our jump off point for Mt Ranier Train, Northwest Trek, Morton Timber Jubilee and the Mt Ranier experience. House was perfect for the six of us (so many great amenities) and everyone loved it!Ideas- ADA bars for showers (we are all seniors 70), booklet with house rules, procedures for checkout. More towels/washclothes.One of your measuring spoons got into our bag of coffee, can I mail it back to you? What address?Again, thank you so much! We would highly recommend your property and will use it again the next time we come to Ashford!
Every aspect of our stay at The Overlook was simply great. When our stay approached, Kerry gave us detailed instructions about every little yet important thing such as downloading maps of the area before we got to Ashford, and what to expect as we physically reached the property. The check-in process and access to the property was described in so much detail that made the process super-smooth. The property is managed immaculately - everything you can possibly need is well stocked and in its place. The kitchen is replete with high quality cookware and equipment needed to cook meals for a family. High speed Internet - a necessity, worked falwlessly. All while making getting to and from the park so quick and easy! In short, we had a spectacular stay at Kerry's property, and would cherish an opportunity to stay here again.
The property was very clean and location was great for short travels to Mt Rainier entrance and hiking. Very quiet area. Plenty of room for us four adults. The only small issue was the back bedroom had birds nesting in the roof area which disrupted sleep. However, please recognize you are in a national park and animals are going to do their thing. I recommend this clean location. We loved our stay.
A great place to stay while visiting Mt. Rainier with family. 3 Bedrooms gave plenty of space for family, internet was fast and reliable. Kitchen was well stocked. Check in and out was efficient with key lock box. No cell service, but ATT wifi calling worked. Smart TV was good in evenings. Youtube streamed to tv through WiFi for grandson. Washer dryer kept us in clean fresh clothes. Deck was quiet for reading and bird and butterfly viewing. We would stay again. Communication with property manager was excellent
I've stayed here before (Aug 2018) with different friends and the place remains a very good place to stay. However, this second time there wasn't the same attention to details and things were missing. Most of the screens were gone from the windows as well as the the sliding door which leads to the deck. They do have a very efficient heating/cooling system, but, for some people, we prefer opening windows over air conditioning especially when sleeping, but because of insects, we needs screens. The kitchen only had one sharp knife, no cutting board, there were less dishes. No dish wash cloths and no drainer for the dish drain, and we had to go hunting for dish soap and paper towels. Yes, there is a dishwasher, but, it's so easy to wash by hand. No soap in one of the bathrooms, only one wash cloth. Only one extra blanket. We couldn't find checkout directions. Rather symbolically, a clock on the wall in the kitchen without a battery. Still the great beds with very soft sheets. Still a very convenient location. Still very clean and comfy with many nice amenities. So, it's not perfect but still a good deal. But, for whatever the reason, someone isn't attending to all those little details as well as when I was here last year. I was with two other friends this time, this was their first time, they won't return (and if they were writing this review, they would have rated more harshly). I would be happy to return again.
