"The view was great. It is in 10 to 30 minutes of places I wanted to visit. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me with the personal items I needed. I didn't need to use the Kayaks or pontoon that they rent to use on Lake Laural. The only drawback is no beach."

"It is a charming, historic hotel. Dinner in the tavern was delicious and service was very good. The only thing we didn't like was the mattress, which needs to be replaced as it has divits. Other than that, it's a cool place that is fun to explore. Wish we were here longer to try out the pool. We did enjoy getting a cocktail from the bar and sitting in rockers on the front porch, watching the traffic go by."

"First off check in was quick and easy. From the time the exterior doors opened to the lobby you were greeted with a good afternoon how was your trip? Everyone my wife and I came in contact with wore a smile and greeted you in some fashion. Everyone seemed to really enjoy working there and were glad to assist you or answer any questions you might have. The room was spotless and had everything you would ever need. The grounds were spotless and everything was trimmed and neat. This will be the place we will stay when traveling the area hands down. There is comfy chairs with side tables and small 4 person tables in the courtyard for lounging or having breakfast. Very quiet surroundings. 👍"

"I had not visited the Ponds for 30 years. It has not gracefully aged. Condo unit has not been updated since it was built in the early 70s and it shows. Drafty and slightly damaged doors, slow drains in the bathrooms, furniture and rugs that show damage and age, and a clubhouse in need of updating. Front desk staff not very friendly or useful, odd because they don’t have a lot of foot traffic this time of the season. There are other similar facilities in the area that might be worth exploring versus this tired old place."
