It was an excellent stay for the week I was there. Staff was friendly, room was always cleaned and prepared after a long day. Near the metro and tram stops which was very helpful and things to do around the hotel was walking distance!

Great location just a few blocks from train station with many restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Fully equipped in room kitchen. Comfy bed/pillows. Elevator. Friendly helpful staff.

The Red Lion is extremely centra to all the City attractions of Amsterdam. The bathroom is "snug" but adequate.
Staff were helpful and attentive.
Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for your visit to Amsterdam.

"By far the oldest and most unkept hotel I had to stay in during my time in NL. Only hotel I refused to shower in as it was just well, “neglected”. Very old and unkept.
