Un perfetto rifugio dalla quotidianità, immerso nel bosco per un relax assoluto. A poca distanza da tanti piccoli centri dell’Umbria che possono essere visitati in mezza giornata.

Bel posto, ma...

Bellissimo posto, immerso nel verde, con strutture in pietra: un vero agriturismo. Per arrivarci, però, bisogna essere preparati (e soprattutto non seguire le indicazioni del navigatore, con il quale è impossibile giungere a destinazione): se avete un'auto ad assetto ribassato, o anche solo abbastanza basso, scordatevelo, perché la strada è una mulattiera con parecchi crateri. Qualche perplessità anche sul servizio (asciugamani sporchi non cambiati se non dopo due giorni, e dopo il cambio tornano meno asciugamani di quelli ritirati). Assolutamente pollice verso per il ristorante: buono, per carità, ma a prezzi veramente esagerati (cena per due con due primi, uno striminzito piatto di formaggi e un altrettanto striminzito contorno di patate: 60 euro. E no, non abbiamo preso una bottiglia di millesimato, ma un bicchiere di birra e uno di rosso).

"Come un sogno"....like a dream

This unique Agriturismo seems a long way off the beaten trail to go for a nice quiet retreat. It may appear hard to find but if you are looking for an exceptional location in the mountains then, don’t hesitate to book it. The road leading up to La Tavola from Assisi scared us a bit because it got narrower, steeper and rougher, but it was worth it! Just a 20 minute drive up the slopes of Mt. Subasio above Assisi (or 55 minutes from Perugia) this sprawling farm / hotel with a big pool complex that raises it’s own food products from black pigs to all the veggies served from their kitchen is a gem! La Tavola dei Cavalieri is “Come un sogno” in English: like a dream. It is a great place to rest, eat, hike, bike, swim, rejuvenate and seek out simple pleasures in Italian Agriturismo. Alessandro, the manager and coordinator of La Tavola dei Cavalieri, greeted us warmly and assured us everything was ready. He treated us like special guests and he deserves much praise for the smooth operation he oversees on Mt. Subasio. Our room accommodation was very clean and appointed with antique furniture.

La pace dopo la salita

Una volta arrivati, la struttura è incantevole;unico neo:da Assisi per arrivarci bisogna percorrere circa 8/10 km di strada con molte curve e salite all'interno del parco del Monte Subasio#posto bello ma soprattutto pesante da percorrere di notte#. A parte questo carinissimi gli animali che si possono ammirare nell'allevamento e rilassante la pace che aleggia in questo ambiente. La competenza dello chef ti trasforma la cena in una serata di gala molto raffinata.
