Akra Antalya

"Akra was a great place to stay. Excellent amenities and service was top notch. Tried buffet dinner at one of the restaurants which was excellent. Cocktails at the bars were very good too. The beach is only for good swimmers but the pools were well equipped and sufficient. There was a 2 litre limit for drinking water for each room and had to pay for extra. I was not expecting this from a 5star resort."

"In general very nice place to stay - relatively clean suite, very friendly/responsive stuff, good breakfast. You can even take free coffee during the day if ask nicely. Few things to consider: - We booked king size bed sea-view room, but there are no rooms with king-size bed. Best you can get is two double-bed room. - In summer there is no normal blanket, only thin covers. Though you can take as many as you wish. All other bedding is very good. - Location is core Antalya downtown, meaning everything is walking distance close, but mind the 'cleanness' of the area. Also worth mentioning the excursions offered on site. We took 5, visited 4: - 'Pirate' ship trip. In general worth the time and money, ~45 min transfer and all day sea adventure with loud music, swim stops and stunning views. - Aqua park. Not worth it, unless it's your first aqua park ever. It's small, made mostly for kids. Quite old equipment. We left it after one hour, it was just nothing to do there. - Green canyon. This one I strongly advise to AVOID. Over ~3.5 hours of transfer one way. Very poor organization, and old, uncomfortable van. And for all that you'll get a chance to see.. a basic water plant. Yes, it's just an artificial water basin. - Diving. Very controversial. Medium sized boat, lot's of people. Two dives in total. First one is very quick (~5 mins) and shallow (~3 meters). Second they offer extended (+50Euro) and normal dive. If you have an experience, I would suggest looking for something else."

"Great rooms with cmfortable beds, black out curtains and A/C, which is essential in the summer. Such a treat to cool off with an evening swim at the hotel after a day out in the sun. Hotel is within walking distance to bars, restaurants and nightlife. Staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good as well. We would definitely stay here again."

"Everything was really good, the room was clean, the staff was very helpful, the breakfast was excellent, however they had one system where if you open the windows the AC would instantly turn off so this prevented us from opening the windows which caused a lot of suffocation since AC air isn't fresh. The hotel itself outside the rooms, except for reception is really humid and suffocating but I think that's expected in a location like Antalya that's really close to the sea."
