Amazing Home for R&R

This VRBO exceeded my expectations. The home was clean, beautiful interior, safe, great location and spectacular views. The owners provided great communication. I had a wonderful experience and recommend this house on the lake with your own private beach. The perfect getaway for a couple or family.

Perfect Beach House and Family’s Favorite

This is our 4th AuGres rental and by far our family’s favorite! Can’t say enough about the very clean and comfortable accommodations! The nautical decor was perfect with nice big beds with comfy bedding and towels! Kitchen fully equipped with everything you’d need! I had no reservations about my 10 month old grandson crawling around! The new back patio was totally awesome with lots of chairs and lounges! We enjoyed the big round picnic table for snacking and playing card games! Lots of beach toys that my 3 grandsons had lots of fun with! Fire pit and beach were very well groomed, very sandy bottom for playing and swimming! Our host Jerry, was quick to respond to our questions along with being very understanding and flexible! So looking forward to returning in August

Great Lake House

Great Lake house for a family get away. Kids loved playing in the sand and swimming. Loved having access right out the door to the beach without having to pack everything up and drive somewhere. House was what we needed with many sleeping options.

Fun Family Get a Way

This was our 4th stay at this property and it never disappoints. The location (right on the lake) is amazing, the lake house is well maintained and the owners are wonderful to rent from!

Amazing lake front home

This clean, modern, well stocked home was located directly on Lake Huron with a beautiful sandy beach leading into the lake. Our family spent a few days playing in the water, and our evenings were spent sitting around the fire pit while listening to the waves crash and looking up at the stars. This property could not possibly have been more relaxing for our family vacation that included two kids and a set of grandparents. There is no reason not to book this property and we are already trying to figure out when to come back!

Amazing home

We had a great girls weekend. The house was wonderful and right on the beautiful beach. We were lucky to have great weather the whole weekend. The only downside was that there wasn’t air conditioning.

Heaven on Earth

We had a wonderful time at the Beach House. The house was clean and plenty of space for all. Anything we could have needed was there. Even the beds were comfortable. The beach was clean and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend the Beach House to anyone looking for a relaxing time at the lake. I will definitely be coming back.

Everything we wanted

We stayed here with 2 families, we each had 1 kid, they loved playing on the beach. We brought our fishing boat, there was plenty of space to park the boat and vehicles. We caught walleye, and bass close to the cottage. It was well stocked and very user friendly. We had a great time!

Lake Huron Paradise

We were thrilled to find everything just as expected. The photos depict a perfect place for peaceful solitude and relaxation. Our favorite spot was the sunroom with a fabulous view and wonderful breeze. This house is well maintained and Jerry is great to work with. We really appreciate finding somewhere close to home and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful stay on the beach

Love the house and location of this property. The upgrades of the gas grill and glass door in the master bath were wonderful adds. Along with the upgrade in pan in the kitchen. House was clean and tidy and we could not have asked for anything more. The only recommendation to the owner is that it is time for a good power washing on the outside of the house. It is getting lots of webs and critters. I would still highly recommend. This was our second year visiting and look forward to the next. Thank you!!

Beautiful home, beautiful view!!

The house was nicely updated, clean and very comfortable!! We felt very much at home. There were snacks and wine on the table to greet us and the most beautiful view of the lake. The sunroom was our favorite place to hang out when it rained but, the rest of the time was spent on the beach!! We really appreciated that mom's dog was allowed. Very peaceful, quiet area. Owners were very accommodating.

A beautiful home in a quiet, peaceful, location. The home is immaculate and well maintained. Everything that you could want is here. The wine and chips were a lovely welcoming greeting upon arrival. The beach was so nice and the lake warm and refreshing. Our requirement for our week’s vacation is peace and quiet and this property definitely fits the bill! Claire, Brenda, Conner and Molly (woof woof)!

Great time was had by all

Great property, our 7 year old had a great time playing on the beach and in the water. The house was very clean, I only gave it a 4 for cleanliness because there was some bloody meat packaging outside. We left some charcoal for the next renter, enjoy. Fire pit was great and wood is available for sale in the neighborhood. Thanks for letting us stay in your home, we will probably stay again.

Excellent Summer Retreat!!

This property was an absolute delight! Charming, cozy, well decorated without feeling stuffy or overcrowded - even with 4 adults and 2 kids occupying the home. The care the owners put into the property was noticeable from the first moment we entered. Although closed up between rentals on a 95+ degree day, the air in the house smelled fresh and was cool. Once we opened up the windows and turned on the many fans, it was just the perfect temperature for our entire hot and sunny stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very large with new furniture and bedding, and plenty of room for personal items both in dressers and closets. Jerry recommended we bring extra beach towels, but we didn't really need them since they provided more than enough beach and bath towels for our crew. The yard and beach were beautiful. We enjoyed hours of midday sun playing in the sugar sand and warm, shallow water - be sure to bring extra sunscreen because you'll never want to go indoors! The fire pit was used nightly for s'mores and relaxing before falling asleep to the sounds of the surf. This is hands down the best Saginaw Bay private beach house we've had the pleasure of renting in the 10+ years we've been staying in the area and we can't wait to come back again.

We reserved the property for 1 week. My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and 2 yr. old granddaughter.

The house was very nice, clean and spacious, but there is no air conditioning. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and kitchen, but no fans in the living area. On 3 of the 6 days we where there, the temperature in the house got up to over 80-85 degrees. My granddaughter had trouble sleeping because it was so hot. My husband and I slept on top of the covers on those nights. There was no breeze at all from the beach which might have helped but without any breeze the ceiling fan just blew warm air around. It was very disappointing. The owners said that it usually is not a problem, that it was unusually hot for the week we were there. The problem with that is that we were there June 10-17, I am sure it gets hotter later in the summer. If that is true the house would have been unbearable. The house was very nice, adding air conditioning would make it much better for when it is really needed. The beach was nice and real close to the house which we loved. There were a lot of rocks however. Our daughter cut her foot the one day she ventured into the water. That was disappointing. Because of the reasons above we will not rent the property again.
