Good place to stay in central Auckland on a budget. Clean and simple rooms centrally located. Bag storage if you need to check out before your flight time
City Lodge was perfect for our 1 night layover in Auckland before exploring the South Island. Staff was genuine and helpful. Good value for the money. Would recommend, especially for backpackers and travellers.
This accommodation has been the best of all my stays in Auckland, safe, super clean, great kitchen, very friendly staff and so close to K Road and the CBD (great shopping and dining), yet very quiet situated amongst a road of large trees; the best. I will be back.
Convenient to all central Auckland, room was standard but a bit Dusty toilet paper holder dirty and blinds , not a complaint tho . Staff friendly, good variety of information for visiting Auckland. Community kitchen facility was absolutely immaculate and a nice lounge area to swap books or meet people. Zero alcohol policy which is good, be aware of the $140 bond regardless of paying in advance which is standard policy. Would stay again
I thought the staff on desk were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was small, but was all I needed really. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable.

Great For Travelling on a Budget
Great price for people travelling on a budget. You can tell cleanliness is a priorty in the rooms and shared kitchen area. Staff are friendly.
There is a weekly schedule of which floor will get fully serviced. On other days, cleaning staff will ask if you need anything, i.e. clean towels, coffee, tea, etc.
We really enjoyed having a fridge in the room and a coffee and tea service.
Shared Kitchen is very well stocked with equipment for being able to cook and bake. Its quite spacious compared to other hostels.
We had one twin bed that was very worn down and uncomfortable to sleep on but other was fine.
We felt safe walling into the CBD. Walking the other way to Karangahape Rd had a lot of homeless and rough looking people. Would not feel safe walking there at night.
It’s actually a dry hotel, a bit like a hostel. There are shared kitchen and laundry facilities in the basement. Staff were friendly. Cleaning is done once a week similar to other hotels in Australia.

Room was small but very clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Staff very friendly and well kept and supplied kitchen and game room in the basement. Will go back.
Well located, clean and functional. The area is a bit noisy at night, but this didn't bother us. Good communal area and laundry facilities.

Very clean, friendly staff.
Just like the photo but there was no bed-side light or luggage rack.
