Jacksons Hideaway - Enclosure Bay Cottage
Summary:
Tucked among native trees between Enclosure Bay and Sandy Bay, Jackson’s Hideaway is a private, self-contained cottage designed for two adults. With a queen bedroom, kitchenette, modern bathroom, private deck and dedicated parking, it offers a quiet Waiheke base within walking distance of two sheltered beaches and a short drive from Oneroa and nearby vineyards.
The Space:
Jackson’s Hideaway is a compact, well-arranged cottage for couples seeking privacy, a peaceful setting and easy access to the coast.
Inside, the kitchenette is equipped for preparing simple meals, with an adjoining dining area for two. The comfortable lounge provides a relaxed place to read, plan the day or unwind after visiting the beach or nearby vineyards.
The separate bedroom has a queen bed with quality linen and large windows that bring in natural light and views of the surrounding greenery. A modern bathroom includes a walk-in shower and practical, uncluttered finishes.
Outside, the private deck is surrounded by native trees and birdlife. It provides a quiet setting for breakfast, an outdoor meal or time spent relaxing between island outings.
The cottage sits near the owners’ main residence while remaining fully self-contained, with private use of the cottage and deck throughout your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Jackson’s Hideaway is positioned in a quiet, green area between Enclosure Bay and Sandy Bay, with both beaches within walking distance.
Enclosure Bay is known for its calm water and rock pools, while Sandy Bay offers a sheltered stretch of sand for swimming and time by the water.
Oneroa Village is a short drive away, with cafés, galleries, shops and places to collect groceries or supplies.
The location is also convenient for exploring Waiheke’s food and wine destinations. Casita Miro is nearby, while Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant, Cable Bay, Tantalus Estate and The Heke can all be reached by car.
Getting Around:
There is off street parking beside the cottage if you are bringing a car, and from here it is only a short drive to Oneroa Village, the Matiatia passenger ferry, and the island’s main vineyard routes.
If you prefer not to drive, the closest bus stop is within walking distance. Buses run from Onetangi and stop near most major vineyards, including The Heke, before continuing through Oneroa and on to the ferry terminal. This makes it easy to explore the island without planning a return trip.
Taxis operate across Waiheke, though availability can be limited in the evenings or during busy weekends. E bikes and scooters can also be hired in Oneroa for guests who prefer a slower, scenic way to get around.
Other Things to Note:
Jackson’s Hideaway is intended for two adults and is not suitable for children.
