Set above the treetops near Onetangi Beach, Skyview is a warm, light-filled home designed for relaxed island living. High ceilings, skylights, and large bi-fold doors bring in the sun and open the house to generous outdoor spaces, creating an easy flow between quiet mornings, shared meals, and long evenings on the deck.
The Space:
Skyview Onetangi has been thoughtfully rebuilt with natural light and comfortable living in mind. The open-plan layout centres around the main living, dining, and kitchen space, where vaulted ceilings and full-height glazing keep the room bright throughout the day. Doors open to a wide, enclosed deck, making outdoor dining and lounging part of everyday living.
The kitchen is fully equipped for simple meals or long dinners at home, and the outdoor fireplace and sauna offer cozy places to unwind on cooler nights. Bedrooms are calm and inviting, finished in soft tones and natural textures, with two modern bathrooms serving the home.

The Neighborhood:
Skyview Onetangi by Stay Waiheke sits a short drive from the white sands of Onetangi Beach, one of the island’s most loved swimming spots. The beachfront hosts a range of relaxed dining options including Three Seven Two and Charlie Farley’s, both ideal for long lunches or dinners by the water.
Cafés and everyday essentials can be found in nearby Ostend and Oneroa, with options including The Island Grocer, Frenchôt, Wai Kitchen, The Local, and the Saturday Farmers’ Market for fresh produce.
The surrounding valley is home to some of Waiheke’s best wineries, Tantalus, Stonyridge, Te Motu, Obsidian, The Heke, Wild Estate, and Casita Miro are all within easy reach for tastings and vineyard lunches. Coastal walks, reserves, and quiet tracks connect the wider area to the beach.
Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop is a short walk from the property, with regular services running from Onetangi toward Oneroa and the Matiatia passenger ferry. Buses stop near major wineries including The Heke, Tantalus, Stonyridge, Te Motu, and Wild Estate, before continuing into Oneroa Village and down to the ferry terminal.
Taxis, e-bikes, scooter hire, and car rentals are available across the island. Parking is provided on site for guests arriving with their own vehicle.
Other Things to Note:
The property operates on rainwater tanks, so water conservation is essential, particularly in summer.
Minimum stays: 7 nights mid-December to mid-January, 3 nights on holiday weekends, 2 nights at all other times.
