We had an incredible Memorial Day weekend stay in Avalon! This condo exceeded our expectations and gave us the perfect Catalina experience. The amenities were amazing — we loved snorkeling right outside our doorstep on the private beach, using the mini greens, and enjoying the tennis courts, croquet court, volleyball courts, barbecue areas, heated pool, and spa overlooking the ocean. The included golf cart was a huge highlight and made everything so convenient. We were able to easily load our luggage after the ferry ride and drive straight to the condo, plus explore Avalon and the scenic routes around the island. It also made transporting our paddleboards, snorkel gear, and scuba equipment effortless. The condo itself was beautiful, with ocean views from every room. We especially loved relaxing on the balcony with coffee at sunrise and dinner at sunset. The location felt peaceful and private while still being only about a 7-minute drive from downtown Avalon. The hill definitely helped us get our steps in, but the views were worth it! Customer service was exceptional from start to finish. Staff was attentive, responsive, and easy to reach by text, email, or phone. We were also pleasantly surprised with complimentary museum tickets, which was such a thoughtful touch. We felt safe, comfortable, and so grateful for this experience. This was truly a five-star stay with five-star service. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island!

The view! The spa! The Hamilton Cove property is the best we have stayed at in many years of visiting Catalina. The manager was very helpful as we had some issues finding the unit and charging the cart. But in the end we figured it all out.

Absolutely Wonderful with Steps

Hamilton Cove is a great place to stay. The view was perfect and it reminds you of an Italian seaside. The condo is well-equipped with everything you need even beach items. Getting information from the host was great, but my wife had Verizon which has connection once you are past the main area of Avalon. Everyone was nice from the gate guard to the other renters. Take heed that the property is 87 steps from the road, but well worth the time it took to get our luggage up for the magnificent view!

Amazing February 2 day getaway !

The view was absolutely BEAUTIFUL for one. For two, checking in and out was a BREEZE. Have never been so lucky before. The thoughtfulness from the extra goodies, the check ins, recommendations, couldn’t have been better! The set up inside from the bathroom to the “laundry area”, into the bedroom was perfect (loved the pocket doors). The balcony was amazing and could hear the ocean even with the door shut (so peaceful). The furniture and extra blankets were super cozy and everything just made you feel at home (they even provided a brand new coffee creamer!). Cannot wait to go back and see more of the cute shops and more of the island, two days was just not enough at rima’s condo! Thank you!

An absolute GEM!!! Loved everything about this stay!!

First and foremost, Rimas was incredibly responsive which was most appreciated. From the views, the peace and quiet, the flexibility on check in/check out times, the cleanliness of the unit, the comfortable bed and bedding, and the use of the golf cart... We have NO complaints. Simply OUTSTANDING!! The only recommendation to be made might be to possibly provide use of bathrobes (especially during the winter months) for post pool/jacuzzi; OR, recommend to guests to bring their own robes. Honestly, that is the only thing we could possibly recommend. Rimas made sure that our stay (to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday weekend) was absolutely wonderful!! We would love to make a return visit!!

Amazing views and some nice peace and quiet.

The property is amazing and only a 10 minute beautiful drive to Avalon in the golf cart. Place is spacious and bright. Sunrises are beautiful. The steps up to the condo are not easy but well worth it. The patio is sort of shared and we didn't see anyone else on it until the morning we were leaving. People seem to have a relaxed vibe on the island so it didn't bother us. The view from the balcony is gorgeous and you can crack the window in the bedroom to hear the sounds of the waves. Rimas was a great host and very informative as well as a bonus we were able to go to the museum. Very nice personal touches from Rimas. We appreciated it!

Beautiful property, great host

Long weekend getaway with my wife, the condo was perfect. Very comfortable and nice, beautifully decorated and well-equipped. The golf cart is in great shape and made access to the island convenient. The host was very responsive and provided all the info we needed to have a hassle-free stay. The sweeping oceanfront views are amazing, and the unit is about halfway up the hill - several staircases to ascend but the higher you are the better the view. Plus it was good exercise. Very tranquil vibe, high enough to take it all in but just low enough to hear the gentle waves. We spotted Catalina foxes and mule deer at dusk and in the evening returning from dinner and drinks in Avalon. The road is good, and Hamilton Cove is just far enough away from town for seclusion but is by no means an inconvenient drive. 5 stars, would stay there again! There are lots of steps

Beautiful Condo

This unit was just as described. Absolutely clean and beautiful. The unit is in a great location on property. It has everything you need. The pull out sofa was very comfortable as well. The unit is close to the pool and hot tub area and the beach. The beach area is rocky so I’d suggest water shoes. The golf cart is electric so no worrying about gas. The steps are for real as described. I’d suggest having the cab pick you up at the bottom (being dropped off up top as directed). Also the unit is in the middle of two others and there is very little to no privacy between the units. This is on most of the property so it isn’t unique to just this unit. Even if a neighbor was having a quiet outdoor conversation it would be right next to your window. Certainly not the fault of the unit but something to consider. We were there off season so it was very quiet. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

I have been to Catalina before(Avalon) but never to Hamilton Cove. What a great find we made. Wish we knew about this years ago as we always stayed in a small hotel room in Avalon. Rimas nailed it with his Villas here at the Cove. Well appointed with all the amenities you need. Spacious and comfortable is an understatement. Views of the Pacific that are breathtaking from the living room, dining room bedroom and the large deck. We had friends stay in his two other units that were just as amazing as ours. This location automatically drops your blood pressure when you arrive. If you have trouble sleeping you won’t here as the sound of the ocean waves are soothing to say the least. Put me right to sleep every night. Waking up each morning having coffee on the lanai is a must. “Rimas”, is the superhost, offered us a cabana on the beach with a BBQ that was amazing. They cooked up assorted shish-kabobs and grilled shrimp along with a delicious charcuterie board. Our friends that stayed with us cant stop talking how awesome this experience on the beach was. Hamilton Cove is by far the best place to stay on the Island and we look forward to booking another trip here soon. We highly recommend staying at one of these Villas that Rimas offers. Thank you Rimas and we look forward to returning very soon!!!!

Beautiful Condo - LOTS of Stairs!

Our family of 4 enjoyed out stay in this condo, but had no idea the 75+ stairs would be a daily issue. The owner is excellent and was super to work with for move in and he even happen to be there the day we arrived and helped us take our bags down the 100+ steps from the top. He dropped off the golf cart at the Catalina Express dock (extra charge) and it took the four of us with roller bags just fine back the 15 minute ride to the condo. They advertise LOTS of Stairs, this is a 10 story condo with no elevators, so it is over 100 steps down from the top and 75+ steps up from the bottom. If you have any issue with steps or physical fitness, this will be a challenge. It took us a few good days to get use to the daily hike and we thought many times before we left and what we bought in town, since it was all being carried up steps. Condo is fully remodeled, the building above the pool for the association. Condo is fully equipped with high end beds and furniture. Pull out couch is RH and very nice mattress. Get's great ocean breeze, awesome views and the patio/deck is very enjoyable. Coffee maker and Keurig was great and stocked with coffee. Even received a nice bottle of wine on arrival. The owner is great to communicate with on any issues. Lots of ocean and pool toys too. Golf cart was great for 4 and we used it daily. It really added to the trip. First time we have been in Avalon with a golf cart included. Highly recommend it, but stairs = 4 stars.
