This well cared for vacation home is the lower half of a duplex located approximately 2 1/2 blocks from the green Pleasure Pier and downtown Avalon. It is a one level home with three bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, the third bedroom has a queen bed, the living room has a double sofa sleeper with new carpeting installed. In addition to wireless internet, you will find a very well-equipped kitchen with a large family dining table next to the kitchen and washer/dryer. The living room offers a 40-inch flat panel UHD 4K Smart TV and a DVD player. Well maintained property with nice furnishings. Accommodations worked great for our three married couples. We all really enjoyed Avalon and our tours around Catalina.
We booked this location as a crash pad for our five-member college friend reunion group. Being 50+, our needs were simple. The space, cleanliness, and comfort of this location exceeded our expectations. It is in a GREAT location and very close to everything. I would recommend this property.
really a 5 min walk to anything in avalon, nice central location on flat street. didn’t spend much time at the house with all our activities but was perfect for our purposes. a little dated, but so is everything on the island! very clean. would love to come back next year!
This house is old school Catalina. Original windows, old school gas stove, brass, and tile. Reminded us of our great grandmas house in the best way possible. No AC, but didnt need it even in late June. Had everything we needed, kitchen well stocked, plenty of towels, easy check in and out. Best location if you dont want to rent golf cart or pay for transport.

Great place
We stayed here with our two kids and another couple with two kids. The place completely met our needs and the heart of Avalon is just down the street. Vons nearby was handy for getting groceries and other things we need, including beach toys for the kids.

Need to be more clean like windows curtains and upgrade on beds. Need upgrade the stove. But it was in good part of town for walking.

Good location, dirty and not kept up
The good points:
House was well stocked for a rental. Plenty of towels, toilet paper and dish soap for a family of 7 for the weekend.
House was located within a 7-10 minute walk of shops/restaurants.
The layout is perfect for two families or a large family.
Beds were comfortable.
The unfortunate:
The house was super dirty. There were crumbs and food stuff on the dining table and built in cutting board. Dishes were dirty, appliances (toaster, coffee pot, blender, etc) were really gross dirty. And the cabinets and drawers in kitchen were filthy.
The heater did not work well. Very noisy and thermostat way off.
House is musty and damp.
I also had a less than enthusiastic check in process (girl was perfunctory with no smile or warmth)- warning the name of the business on your paperwork and the address is wrong (it’s a different name of business that you actually check in and it states suite b on your paperwork - but that suite is vacant- it’s suite c- with a different name than what’s on your paperwork too- was going in circles looking for the check in place). When I mentioned this to the girl at check in, she brushed me off with ‘ya well that’s our parent company name and we moved to a new suite’. It’s a digital/technical world- update your check in information please.
I did an online request for the heater to be fixed and never heard back from them.
I also was looking forward to using the fireplace but there was no grate or screen. I couldn’t find any instructions on whether it was not authorized to use, but also no safety items needed (like the grate/screen). This was one of the reasons I choose this unit; for the fireplace.
I wouldn’t stay here again sadly.
Check in was super easy and location was perfect. Great place with tons of room for family. Description states one bath room but there was a bonus toilet and vanity in laundry room. Very convenient and walking distance to grocery store.
This home was clean and a very convenient location for walking to the main section of town and right around the corner from Von's grocery story. We appreciated the use of the blow up inner tubes to use for floating in the ocean. The beds in this home are only ok. Since most people get around the island on golf carts there is a lot of street noise. Most carts sound gas powered and start early in the morning. Perhaps this would be less of a problems if you stayed farther away from the main area.
This place was clean and quaint. It was comfortable and the water pressure was great in the shower. Checking and Out was a breeze. Very close to the happening parts of Avalon but far enough away that you can escape all the night noise. Would stay here again.
