D and family & staff were wonderful! She let us checkin 5 hours early upon arrival after a tired plane ride. Food was fabulous! Restaurant onsite a plus. The restaurant is open on Sundays too. If you are looking to stay in a B&B where you will meet and mingle with the locals on your stay in Ireland than The Meetings is the place for you. There is a bar and restaurant onsite where all the locals come to mingle, eat, sing, & watch sporting events on TV. It gave us a real feel of Ireland on our first night stay. They had live Irish music onsite too playing outside on the patio area. We got to meet many Irish locals from town and even the local stray dogs who everyone loved to give lots of attention to and joined in on the fun. Rooms were very clean! coffee & tea always available. Beautiful views from the decks around the premises. Loved the historical park next to the B&B which tells of the history of Thomas Moore and his famous poem written on the River Avoca "The Meeting of the Waters". A very beautiful and tranquil spot for photos and peace of mind. The setting of this B&B is absolutely gorgeous on the River Avoca. If you are looking for a fancy place to stay than this B&B is not for you. But if you are looking for the real taste of Ireland where you will feel the love of the Irish people and their wonderful hospitality, and want to experience a peaceful night stay or weekend stay in a beautiful and tranquil setting than "The Meetings" is your kinda place.
