Athens Hawks was decent for the price, around €35 a night. The room was overall clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s within walking distance of many Athens attractions, which was convenient, but the area definitely feels shady at night—I wouldn’t recommend it for solo female travelers. The bathroom shower overflowed into the rest of the bathroom, and although we put up the “make up room” sign, the room wasn’t serviced (we did receive fresh towels). We skipped the €5 breakfast, as the photos on the website were misleading, though this may have been due to visiting in the slower season.

Walkable. However, near some not so clean areas of the city around north of monastiraki. Very close to Omonoia square which makes it very accessible to metro and other means of transportation.

Staff are helpful. The rooms were cleaned properly each day. The decor is bare minimum.. will help if there is a wardrobe in the room.. I did not like the location after dark .. felt a bit uncomfortable with family .. not much options / spread in the breakfast menu.. the need to carry breakfast cards each day felt unnecessary. stayed 5 nights
