Lobby is nice, friendly and very helpful staff. The area is quiet and a few miles from the old town area and we actually love it versus the busy old town. Room is in a small size, most European hotels are smaller than US. We would love to come back again.

The best things about this hotel are (1) the wonderful staff, most friendly and helpful, (2) the comforting multipurpose living/dining room/open kitchen, (3) the Bairro Alto neighborhood, with delightful surprises at every turn. The disappointments are (1) the lack of views, despite the hotel’s name, (2) our tiny room with practically zero space/hangers for personal items or movements, and (3) what little surfaces the room has were taken over by senseless knick-knacks. An area for easy improvement would be the breakfast: fresher breads with more variety.
