"We booked 2 nights bed at breakfast. We saw some reviews that said not to stay by the pool because the local bars can be noisy. That’s what we experienced - but we explained that the balcony door did not fit properly and were moved for our second night to the garden side of hotel. We had a great night’s sleep without disturbance. WiFi was temperamental/poor - we were told that was an operator issue, so I don’t know if this is ongoing. The pool, rooms and breakfast are all good. However, breakfast was under understaffed on the Saturday we were there, and the food stations ran out, but good quality when they were replenished. There’s a long sandy beach 7 minutes’ walk away which is a let down by hoardings for a large derelict hotel plot (the hoardings themselves are good quality) - this means the beach is not used much so almost private where we were there, which was excellent. Because this is Rodney Bay, you have great views of Pigeon Island, with plenty of choice in food locally (and bars into the night if that’s your thing). Make sure you are not in room 220 (unless Michael fixed the gap in the left-hand balcony door), and this is a good value stay in happening area of St Lucia. And if you're in the area, then try Sandy Hoofs -we had a great 2 hour private horseriding trek that included bareback in the surf - a memory of a lifetime. Ask for Kerri or Josh."
Bel Jou Hotel – Adults Only – All Inclusive

"My partner and I visited Bel Jou for 7 days. It was blissfully relaxing, close to Castries -great food and amenities, lovely staff. Creole weekend even had plenty of lovely authentic Creole food both within the property and they put on a lovely outdoor event for even more authentic food, craft and music! Brilliant. Special shout out to Kidada, Princess and Brandon and the slim gentleman who works on the roof top bar, as standouts during our stay. Also the tall gentleman with dreads who works around the towel area often - super pleasant! I would definitely recommend and hope the team is recognized for their warmth and dedication. I would definitely recommend!"

"Our stay at Ladera was top tier! The view alone is the number one reason to book this resort. It felt like a dream! Our room had a small pool with small water fountain. Perfect and roomy enough for us both! The view of the Pitons and ocean never got old. The rooms are one-of-kind designed. And designed to maximize your privacy. The staff was friendly, warm and welcomed us everywhere we went on the property. We called her Sweet Caroline, she was the main concierge that walked us to our room, gave us detailed information and made us welcome cocktails! She has been with Ladera for 30 years, so she was very knowledgeable. We loved our breakfast staff at the Dasheene. Jennifer is the bartender that smiles, sings and gives the best hugs! Manette was fun organizing trips for us and making certain we were happy! Tips for your stay: Be sure to have tip money, I suggest to have a bunch of $10 bills on you. There is no ATM on the property. If you need cash, you have to do a cash advance that adds 10%. The rooms are mostly just fans & open air. No air-conditioning, which wasn’t a problem for us. They have some rooms that do have AC. The bed has a canopy with netting around it to keep the mosquitoes out, but we didn’t have a problem with them. The resort provided bug spray and many fans to keep them at bay. Ladera is nestled in the jungle, so you will hear birds and rain in the distance. Ear plugs and eye masks are provided. If you’re on the fence, book Ladera. Best view on the island!"

"Facility was fantastic, obviously not a cheap place to stay. Shuttle vans take your throughout the resort, for the most part are timely. Included breakfast buffet was good, not exceptional. Stayed in Luxury Villa 304 which had a ocean view and gorgeous, but FYI was not private as Villa 302 was next door and we could see onto each other's patio."

"We had a great time. A special shout out to Debbie from the restaurant, Chef Deonn, Chef Michael. Emani at the front desk, Wendy who works in the kitchen, Mary D, Gania from the restaurant. Those employees truly went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay a memorable. My only concern was the number of mosquitos in the kids water park area. This needs to be addressed at the soonest."

"The most tranquil place I’ve ever visited. The hotel was on my sister’s mandatory must see and experience vacations. It was more than we ever imagined. The bungalow is so nice and relaxing. The shower was such a vibe. Honestly I don’t have any complaints. St. Lucia is an absolutely breathtaking island."
