"I was disappointed with the first room we were allocated as one of the blinds had got stuck at the top of the window. The electric socket housing came loose from the wall and there were two mirrors above the bed that were not fixed safely. The wallpaper was not hung by a competent decorator and had not been finished to a good standard. Clothes storage was minimal a 75cm wide recess in the wall painted in a mustard colour. No cups or mugs in the room only glasses for drinking hot beverages from. I did go to reception and the staff arranged for an upgrade to a much larger room which was satisfactory for our 3 night stay. The reception staff said the hotel was a boutique hotel. I think they need to work a little harder on the design of the rooms I saw. The reception area was pleasant though. Conveniently situated for museums, bars and restaurants and a good , pleasant 25 minute walk to Central Amsterdam."

"I was traveling with my two sisters-in-law and this room was by far the most spacious and well-appointed of our whole two week trip. The beds were comfortable, the room was right on street level but was silent at night, the area is gorgeous (even with all the construction happening on the street during our stay). You're close to public transport making it super easy to get around the city and there is a beautiful park across the street which was the perfect spot to take a little morning walk or hang out with a good book. The staff was wonderful and extremely accommodating. Our train to Paris got cancelled and they were able to book us into our same room for an additional night making the unexpected plan change much less stressful for us."

"We loved staying at the ibis in Amsterdam! It is super close to both the main sight seeing spots and the big main train station which makes it super easy to get around. There is also lots of tram lines close by if you don't want to walk to get further into the city. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and even gave us some small freebies on arrival. The room and bathroom are a bit small but it didn't bother us personally as we only really used to room to sleep in as we were out exploring the city for most of our time there. Even though the area around is quite busy we didn't rally have any trouble with the noise level even though we were facing in the direction of the city. Because we were facing the city we had a stunning view onto a canal and the city as well."
