"La struttura (hotel + terme) e' molto grande, organizzata e curata ed e' immersa in uno splendido pezzo di natura.
Tutto bello e fruibile se l'affollamento non e' eccessivo ....."
"A Fascinating and perhaps haunted hotel off the beaten track. You will drive through the beautiful mountains to get there and it’s located in the shadow of an ancient Abby. The staff is lovely, the food at the in-house restaurant is great. And definitely get a bottle of the house red (it’s amazing). You will not be sorry you made this journey. "
"Amazing residence! We had the room with the main balcony. The view day and night, sun or rain is breathtaking.
We also visited their restaurant for a dinner and the food was high quality and tasty :) with a quality of a decent restaurant "
"This place was not clean, it had dead moths on the bed linen and spiders and webs everywhere!
We had to call to get the key and all they wanted to do was sell the wine!
The wine was nice and the surroundings but that’s it!
There was nobody around to discuss the dirty/dead insects issue and is in the middle of nowhere.
It feels unsafe as the door wouldn’t lock from the inside either.
If for some silly reason you still book….take food as there is nothing there to eat!
Best thing to do...
"We had a great stay in this hotel and are returning clients. The location is peaceful. The facilities of the pool ( indoor and outdoor) are great. When it rained the indoor pool was useful. The level of service and quality of food in the restaurant was great. We brought our dog and they even had a separate quiet restaurant area for those with dogs which we used both evenings. Overall a great stay, we will return. "
"It is an extraordinary place, an old building in the old city of Popi with wonderful views of the valley next to the Popi castle with private parking next door. However, it has many details that could improve the room, which is quite poorly decorated, with bathroom accessories of very poor quality, the mattress is old and soft. In short, the room could be of a different quality than what it is."
"The property itself was beautiful and we really loved using the pools. They were gorgeous. My only complaint was that the bathroom is so small and everything is squished together. The bidet basically touches your knees while you’re sitting on the toilet."
"Rooms are good, clean and comfortable. Can’t review food as the restaurant was closed but the food at the service station (in the same building) was good and the staff were very helpful and nice. "

A Panoramic Tuscan Luxury - Villa Maria in Fronzano
10/10 Excellent
"If you're looking to stay at a special villa and have the Tuscan dream vacation, then Villa Maria is the place for you. My family and I rented for a week - 9 of us ranging from ages 10 - 78. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the villa itself, the spectacular views and the owner, Tommaso. Tommaso had ensured that the villa was equipped with every amenity for a comfortable stay not to mention the extras, like leaving a bowl of fresh fruit, bottles of wine and olive oil. My family enjoyed everything Villa Maria has to offer, including the pool, tennis courts, pool table and the outside verandas to just sit and soak in the amazing views. In addition, Tommaso assisted us with arranging Chef Donato to cook dinners for us on 2 nights. I was a little nervous because my family has divergent dietary needs (2 of us are vegan) and some are just picky eaters so I wasn't sure if the experience was going to be enjoyable for all. Well, what Donato prepared for us was a culinary masterpiece and everyone enjoyed every dish he prepared, taking into account all of our requirements. My family agreed that these may have been the best meals EVER. The only disappointment was that we had to leave. Villa Maria is simply amazing and we are so grateful for Tommaso as he assisted us with all of our questions in the months leading up to our trip and during our stay to to ensure we had an incredible experience. We will forever treasure the memories we made and we will be back! "
Large Watermill Villa near Florence - Mountain views
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fabulous stay at Villa Bucigna (end July 2025). We were a large group of 17. 14 adult's and 3 young children. There was ample space for all of us across the 2 villas and wellness centre. Communication with Peter and his family during our stay was excellent and some minor issues were dealt with promptly. The location is stunning with fantastic views and the sunsets over the mountains are fabulous. Its restful and peaceful location (although the cicadas can be quite vocal during the day!) but you are staying in the countryside. The swimming pool, hot tub and sauna are wonderful. And we used all of them during our stay. The swimming pool is on lovely sunny and sheltered terrace below the villas. The houses were well equipped for every day use with a lovely large kitchen in one of the villas which made catering for all of us a breeze. We also had some wonderful meals cooked for us by local chefs Max and Cri. The food and service was exceptional, both friendly and attentive. The antipasta spread was amazing with a cheese and meat selection along with such appetizers as artichokes, chicken liver pate on toast, bruchetta and veal in a tuna sauce. Mains were also delicious with two courses followed by a dessert. All served with wines from the region. They were more than happy to cater for dietary requirements, we had a vegetarian and a person with a nut allergy. All at a very reasonable price, wine included. Would thoroughly reccomend the experience. "
An 800 villa in the Tuscan countryside - a quiet place - pool - culture
10/10 Excellent
"It was a pleasure to stay in Guido’s beautiful Villa. The place had endless character and charm. It was very quiet. Close for day trips to Florence and Poppi, which was an incredible alternative to the touristy towns. We also had the best meals at Mandri nearby - all locals - and got to meet Guido’s charming family. The home was a step back in time and a perfect escape for a quiet week in Italy. A. A"
