"Lorna and her family are beautiful people. The Gemstones Property is high on a hill overlooking the most beautiful beach (Cross Bay) During our stay we basically had the beach to ourselves. The walk to beach from Gemstones is fairly steep but there are two other routes. It’s not an issue to sway a decision to stay here. We stayed 10 days and our taxi driver Belinda who is a beautiful person stopped in route to gemstone from airport at supermarket so we could buy food, beer and wine etc. We...

"Three of us stayed for 3 nights. Great to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It's around .5 mile walk to the bus stop and the local grocery store. The bus is a great way to get around the island - clean, friendly and cheap (we bought the 15 token / 14 zones). The view in the backyard / pool is beautiful. The Host lives on the property and is friendly and accommodating."

"A lovely guest cottage close to the ocean and the bus stops! We appreciated the huge help the hosts were in familiarizing us with the area when we arrived, and any needs or questions were addressed right away. The rum cake on arrival was another hit! "Close proximity to the beach, some restaurants nearby. Was disappointed that it took 3-4 phone calls to speak to the owner or front desk as our internet was down for 3 days and therefore could not turn on the TV or wi-fi. No basic amenities such as sugar, salt…as well no large bowls for salads, only bread knife, very small frying pan and no baking sheets or casseroles to bake food in and specially no CUTTING BOARD! Otherwise the area we were in was good. "

"We had a fantastic stay. They had all the amenities that we could stay in or all the maps and attraction pamphlets needed to keep busy everyday. Public transportation was near the stores so it was easy to pick up what you need and walk about a block and a half to get back home. We found a restaurant right across the street that made the best fish sandwiches. As someone mentioned the shower is a little small but you can work with it. "Very nice property. Space is good in this 2 bedroom home with 3 baths and a den/office. Important to know but not clear upon booking...they have 2 coffee makers. One traditional and a French press. They do have all kitchen conveniences. There is an iron and ironing board. Very convenient to bus stops! Great view at the end of driveway and nice walking bridge. You can also walk down to a small beach across the street. Driveway very steep! And there is a flight of stairs down to get to this home....
