Beautiful resort with an amazing staff! We stayed in room 1200 for 8 days and I can say we had one of the best experience This resort offers you everything you need-high style dining in restaurants, beautiful beach with so many water activities, very good entertainment staff, beautiful landscape, friendly people everywhere ( front desk and beach bar especially) Thank you for making our staying there memorable and we will definitely return to this place!

A 3 star at best! Ignore the marketing photos
This hotel is marketed as a 4 star hotel with some amazing photos. These were likely taken when it was built and new. I’ve attached photos of our room, it was actually very dirty on close inspection. I had to keep calling Guest Service all week to fix issues. Cockroach in the room, again not the end of the world but not great. We were attacked by stray dogs outside of our room and another guest was bitten. I reported it but it was never followed up. Food is honestly average. On the first day we were told every other restaurant was fully booked at 6.30pm (kids) to their credit, the guest team eventually found us reservations. Strangely these restaurants were always quiet too? A 20 min round trip taxi to the supermarket cost £26. Surprising! As we checked out, I gave the feedback directly and they didn’t really want to talk about it. I also spoke to Hotels.com who were quite unhelpful and just referred me to the hotel. The kids club only had a handful of children in it. The reality is that your kids will just want to play by the pool, so I wouldn’t book this hotel on that basis. You will most likely eat at the buffet for all meals most of the trip. Just bear this in mind as it can get quite repetitive. If you get a good deal, it is probably worth it but I would not be happy paying full price for this hotel expected 4 star quality.

Some of the employees were really special. Sweety at the Bistro was wonderful, helpful, and seemed to know exactly what we needed and was spot on. Front desk employees were courteous and helpful. Food options and restaurants were very nice. Maintenance workers were noisy in the mornings. We could have done without the initial resort tour prior to check in. The check in process is too long.

The staff really make this place, the bar, boathouse and activities staff in particular. It has a relaxed and charming atmosphere, rather than a sanitised 5star. Our kids (11,9 & 5yrs) didn’t go in kids club but the staff played table tennis, drafts and chess with them around the beach allowing us to relax. The Sunset on the beach at night is breath taking.

We had an amazing stay at Ravenala Attitude hotel. The food was delicious great choice for everyone especially the sushi at Lime, ground floor executive beachfront suite massive & great position, the gardens & pools were spectacular too. Everyone of the staff was so genuinely friendly & helpful, they were all really proud to work for the company who in turn look after & appreciate their colleagues. We got married whilst there, beautiful & perfect in every way. Sneha went out of her way to ensure everything was just how we wanted it. Nice stay
Just returned from 10 days at the Ravenala Attitude, wonderful young and friendly staff, easily got sunbeds and reservations for the many restaurants. Basic evening entertainment, small group, dj or sega dancers. Spotlessly clean all round and the restaurant meals were mostly good, drinks were not premium unfortunately so took a while to find the decent ones. I got the impression the hotel was not full but I may be wrong about that. All in all had a good time and would consider staying at the Ravenala again.

Having just returned from a lovely family holiday I don’t normally write reviews but thought I would share my positives and negatives. Positives: staff! They are wonderful, so friendly, always happy to help and share all of their top tips and fixed anything that we had an issue with which really made any of our issues no problem at all!! They moved our room as we were at the far end of the hotel to be closer to the pool which was great Great water sports facilities - snorkelling trips, glass bottom boat, kayaks, sups etc. Good choice of restaurants although food could be a bit hit and miss! Riveria was definetley worth the extra cost. Madame Ming was lovely. Kids club was great and so much on offer. Dolphin watching, swimming with turtles 1.5hr boat trip was great (4,500MR) Negatives - facilities are quite tired and cleaning in rooms/communal toilets could be better. Our air con was very noisy and leaked as well as the baths. Tick ridden stray dogs which are not looked after by the hotel. A comment we had previously read which didn’t affect our perception as already aware but to note the water can be less ‘Indian ocean’ due to the river meeting the sea, the sand is a little building sand but perfect shallow calm waters for kids to swim in. Quite a few restaurant choices although mainly all located next to each other and food was quite hit and miss. The pool was green and cloudy most of the stay which seemed to be due to an over chemical use. Overall a great stay

I am sorry for the inconsistencies that you witnessed and have already briefed the team accordingly to avoid such situations in the future.Concerning stray dogs rest assured we are in constant contact with the local authorities and animal welfare associations for a sterilization campaign in order to control the population of dogs in the area. Also, we have our dog lounge where they are fed, sheltered and thereafter adopted. Unfortunately, some in-house guests are making our task more complicated by feeding these animals in the restaurants.I would like to share with you that our beach meets with the mouth of a river which is next to our property. Since Mother Nature can be very unpredictable and which is unfortunately beyond our control, the river sometimes has an impact on our sea and beach. Unluckily, we had quite a few days of torrential rains on the island thus changing the colour of the sea.I regret that our culinary offer was not as per your expectations. I have shared your comments with our Chefs and team for improvement. This is a lovely property and the staff is very friendly and really try to do their best to accommodate requests. The food is okay. There is a lot of variety, catering to many different tastes, and you should absolutely make every effort to book into as many of the restaurants covered by the all inclusive deal as possible. That said, they are a mixed bag. We really enjoyed Madame Ming and Kot Nou and wished we had managed to get into the Beach BBQ for dinner but were unable. We ate there at lunchtime however, which is pretty nice. We didn't have as great experiences at 'O', a Tavola or Bistrot - the last two relating to the food, but the first, to the service, which just left us a little underwhelmed at the end of the evening. The pools are super, the beach is pretty, and they are right alongside one another so it's easy to go back and forth between them. The room was comfortable though with there kids, we were a little cramped - that's probably our fault, not the hotel's. We may not stay there again, having done it for ten days, but we certainly would recommend others put this hotel on their list of ones to consider. The pictures do it justice and if you really want to just unwind and do nothing, the Ravanela Attitude will do the trick.

This is a lovely hotel. The reception area is really impressive when entering the hotel. We stopped in an Executive Beachfront room which was huge. All the restaurants were good, none of the evening ones covered by the all inclusive were exceptional, but they were all good. We did use Lime, the Sushi restaurant, at lunchtime which was superb. Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel.

The Ravanela was truly outstanding. Stayed 11 days in Maurutius first at the Hilton in Flic En Flac which was also amazing then onto Ravanela. Our experience was cut short due to covid-19. The first day was unbelievable so many choices of restaurants food was great / pool was great. Not the best beachas the water isn't clear but that's not the hotels fault 😛 couldn't enjoy the last four days as Maurituis went into lockdown so ended up onky 50 of us in the hotel. The staff were great service did slip but understandable. Looking forward to coming back here 8n a few years to experience it properly.

Everything was perfect about the hotel/resort. Staff, Amenities, restaurants, rooms etc Only one complain and it's very important hence 4 stars instead of 5 stars. You charge for drinks at lunch and dinners for half board and full board guests. I mean you charge for water, tea, coffee and fruit juices at lunch and dinners I don't expect alcoholic drinks for free but water , tea coffee when you are full /half board it's not right. you need to review this policy. the quality of the hotel/resort doesn't reflect with this policy. Otherwise we had a good stay.

We liked 2 things: 1) cost that we paid to be in the area relative to other hotels; and 2) the size of the rooms (quite large). We were very disappointed with everything else. To start, Preet from the reception / checkin area was extremely rude and disrespectful to us. She needs to be removed from dealing with customers directly as she has no idea how to do this. There were lots of flies everywhere - at breakfast, at the dinner, at the beach BBQ, they are all over your food. The food options were also not good. Additionally, the sheets in the room were stained and the room was 15 minute walk from the reception. There were mattresses thrown in the hallways (dirty). All in, I would not recommend or stay here again - unless you just don’t have the money to stay elsewhere.

Concerning the flies, I would like to share with you that there is an ongoing treatment being done regularly at the hotel by one of the best companies of the country. Unfortunately, being on a tropical island with high humidity, these insects tend to be tenacious and as well one week ago our island experienced a tropical storm. I understand that their presence might not have been pleasant. We are nevertheless strengthening our fight against these pests. I sincerely regret that our food proposal has not met your expectations. Should you have shared your feedback during your stay, our Chef would have been more than happy to turnaround your experience and assist you with tailor-made dishes. I take good note of your comments concerning the sheets and the mattress which I have shared with my Housekeeping team to avoid such situation in the future and enhance our guest’s satisfaction. I regret if the room allocated to you was far from the main facilities and should you decide to visit us again, I will ensure that you will be well settled in a nice room closer to our main facilities. The Ravenala Attitude is the best all-inclusive resort that we've ever stayed at. The staff and management were attentive in every aspect of the property and services, including in the restaurants, on the beach, at the front desk, and in housekeeping. We highly recommend the all-in-all package. With five different all-included restaurants in the package along with a large assortment of included wines and other drinks, each meal was a treat, offering Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Continental meal options. We'd recommend having at least one dinner at the Japanese "Lime" restaurant along the ocean. The waiter, Pritivee and chef, Nilish, were outstanding, and the marlin sushi was on par with that found in the famous Tokyo Fish Market.

Good hotel - would recommend overall
Cons - Smelly room and front desk staff did nothing at request to change room telling us that hotel was fully booked when other staff told us it was low peak and hotel was half booked. Staff at Boat house very knowledgeable, know their stuff and do their duty well. Restaurant hard to get in as they have small number of seating. Activities are plenty but a bit scattered and because the place is huge, hard to find out where cooking demo for example was happening. Beach nice but rocky. Overall good hotel. Some staff just need to learn how to take ownership of a request and see it to the end.

The continuous rainfalls and humidity that have persisted for some time have proved particularly challenging in that regard, but rest assured that we shall keep a close eye on the unpleasant smells that you highlighted. I regret that you have not been able to book the restaurant during your stay and should you decide to visit us again, I will ensure that the F & B Manager meets you so that he can organise the restaurant booking for your whole stay. I am sorry that you did not have all the necessary information for the activities and would like to share with you that same is also affixed at the Sports Village, F & B Concierge as well as Boat House and same is also printed and given to our host together with the arrival letter. The design of the resort and ambience of the place. The staff in all departments were excellent in tge services that they provided. We also loved the wide range of high qaulity eateries that were there. We ate at 8 of the 10 restaurants and all provided excellent food. We would definitely recommend this hotel and intend to return again, with our extended family.

Very large, modern,spacious rooms. Beautiful. Service was very hit and miss. We were totally ignored at the beach bar when trying to order drinks one day. There was one person running the snack bar one day and he was overwhelmed. We were made to feel really in the way by wanting some lunch! Food very nice and most staff lovely. Oliver at the gym was great and the man working at the balcony bar!
