"Room was excellent, breakfast was disappointing. They apparently ran out of orange juice so I was told to go next door and buy some, that was their responsibility as I was already paying $13 for an okay buffet."
New Build 4 person Bunkhouse 5 acres
Prickly Pear Cabin near Big Bend NP & SP
10/10 Excellent
"Very remote and awesome place to get away from it all. We got to watch a spectacular metro shower. An unforgettable experience I got to share with my dad."
"Michele and Mark made our stay amazing they could not have been nicer and made us feel welcome. They were extremely helpful on places to eat and sites to see. They are very informative on the local wildlife and genuinely cared about our safety. I truly enjoyed spending time on the porch and just talking with them. I highly recommend this rental for the beautiful landscape and the solitude. Thank you Michele and Mark for making our anniversary a special time."
"We loved our stay at this rental! Owners have made excellent use of the small floor plan and the cabin is stocked with all the basics. The outdoor kitchen is a great addition. Bob gave us great directions to get to the cabin and we enjoyed the quiet, more remote location. In the morning you can watch the birds at the feeders and there’s excellent star gazing at night. Would gladly stay here again!"
Christmas Mountains Ranch: Classic 2br/1bth Cabin with Spacious Wrap Around Porc
10/10 Excellent
"WOW, this property did NOT disappoint! Perfect for my wife and I, and obviously could have accommodated more people if needed. Everything we needed was there, and they thought of the "little kindnesses" too, like night lights in the hall and bathroom, places to plug in phones, well stocked kitchen, lots of games, etc etc.Our favorite part was watching sunrise and sunset from the front and back porches...indescribably stunning! And, it's super cool to be surrounded basically on 3 sides by Big Bend NP, as that's what we were there for...still gotta drive to it, of course, but the sensation of having it "right there" was super cool. Quiet and private, gorgeous views, comfortable beds, easy-to-use TV system, great instructions and communications.A !!!!"
"Our host, Ms Pam was great. The futon in the living room is not very comfortable. The bed in the bedroom was great! Little trash can in the kitchen is broken. Be careful of the cute donkeys that run loose on the main highway.Fire pit rocked, kitchen was well stocked. Propane grill worked great. The stars were unbelievable. Without too much of a line at the part entrance. You can make the basin in about an hour."
