Quaint, Rustic, Quiet Retreat

"We really enjoyed our stay. The property had everything we were looking for and was secluded and peaceful. Although it was remote, we were prepared and didn’t need to make any shopping trips during our stay.The location does mean a bit of a longer drive to the western part of the White Mountains, like Franconia and Lincoln, but for us that was a minor tradeoff and well worth it. We found the eastern areas to be noticeably less crowded.The place itself was clean, comfortable, and well supplied. There were plenty of towels for our family of six, and we had everything we needed for the stay. We also enjoyed using the fire ring after getting the required burn permit from the neighbor, as outlined in the house manual.One of the highlights of the trip was walking through the property down toward the river and unexpectedly encountering what appeared to be a wolf or another large canine. Definitely an unforgettable experience for the kids.We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others looking for a peaceful, secluded White Mountains getaway."

"We really enjoyed the private setting with a great view. The cabin is nicely apportioned and very cozy. Two strong window air conditioners kept us cool even with the unusually hot weather. The property is beautiful and was perfect for our dog to have some room to roam on vacation."

"The Inn was fantastic. The ambiance was romantic and when we stayed lots of people were there for vacation week and we met some great people. It had a ski lodge vibe where you could hang out by the fire in the great room, the game room or get snacks from the front lobby. The staff were so amazing and helpful. We brought our dog and he was made to feel right at home too! Our room was perfect with the kitchenette we cooked in and even the murphy bed was comfortable! They served cake in the great room and donuts and muffins in the morning. What a fun place to visit! Also the history of the area is amazing! Thank you for making our time wonderful! We will be back "

"Long story short this a nice room in the woods that feels nearly like a home living room.Heat, hard wood floors, windows and a bed with plenty of space for your stuff and othersAmazing views and trails on property.Host Justin is nearly always available and by the barn Pack what you need and be prepared if you want to feel more comfortable Location is kind of perfect for me. Far enough away from everything you feel disconnected from everything But close enough to the white mountains and Maine as wellBiggest negative is field mice, if you are clean you won’t have a problem with them.Wash dishes after eating and bin all food as well as burn any scraps and you likely won’t even see a singly mouse for daysBut if you leave food out in any manner expect to be sniffed out and they can get anywhere they want. Your experience with them is based on how clean you are.There is also a lovely water fall sound in the yurt due to streams, as long as there isn’t a drought you can hear it all day"
