Top Ballachulish Hotel Reviews

The Garrison
6/10 Okay
"The overall experience was"

The Caledonian Hotel
8/10 Good
"Super easy to get to and the parking is right out front. The outside of the hotel is not much to look at but it does face the lake. Inside is a little worn but the staff is really nice and welcoming. You get an actual room key. As in a metal door key. Kind of a throwback but cool. The room was comfortable and clean, updated bathroom. Minimal noise but I could hear the shower in the room next door. You can adjust the temperature but I couldn't figure it out which is probably me. The staff offered to bring a space heater but it wasn't that cold. We did not eat at the restaurant because we went into town. There's a cool cinema there with a restaurant but make reservations if you want to eat there."

Isles Of Glencoe Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Nice hotel in an excellent location. Food was lovely and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a great time."

The Glencoe Inn
8/10 Good
"Great location close to lots of hiking spots and right across the highway from a scenic lake framed with mountains. Room was a bit small. Window shade came down when staff was showing us the room and they were unable to get maintenance to fix it during our 2 night stay. Staff were very nice. Food in the restaurant was great."

The Great Western Hotel
8/10 Good
"The location is perfect and the lounge has beautiful views. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel and my room were clean. However, I stayed in a single room and the en suite was the smallest I have ever seen - definitely only suited for small to medium people!
I will not hesitate to stay there again."

Glencoe House
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely place, great breakfast, amazing for kids! And the food - the chef was a stand-out, chatting to us about what we wanted and he definitely delivered. Would 100% stay again."

Onich Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Parking was easy.
The entire property is very very dated. There was mold in the shower and the carpet was ripped in the room.
The view was great. "

Ben Nevis Hotel & Leisure Club
4/10 Poor
"I had to question if I had been given a superior room as it was small with very little good to say about it. I spend a lot of time in hotels travelling with work and I pay £120-£140 per night and have stoped in some fabulous places with good fixtures and fittings. This hotel is very run down and in need of a lot of refurb. The shower head leaked badly. The water from the shower didn’t get hot but the sink next to it did. I asked to be moved rooms and I ended up with a room with terribly creaky floorboards, shower head no better in the new room and all the fixtures and walls in need of repair or replacement. I enjoyed dinner and the service was quick and good. "

Alexandra Hotel
6/10 Okay
"We had a pleasant stay at this hotel largely part to it's location. Perfect for exploring the area and hiking Ben Nevis,
The breakfast was a standout. With plenty of options and a great start to each day, The staff was friendly and accommodating, always happy to help and mad us feel welcome.
The hotel itself could benefit from some updating. They might have already begun to do so as our bathroom was refreshed and new but the rest of the room was quite dated but clean."
