"A great base to take trips out from. The house was perfect for our family. We cook a lot and there was everything we needed to prepare home cooked food for our family. We all settled in very easily with very clear instructions from the owner. The town is very quaint with lots of walks locally and a bit further afield. "From the time we booked through our entire stay we were taken care of by Liz who made our stay awesome. The house was great in the rural setting we were looking for with a restaurant/pub just down the driveway. If we had any questions she responded quickly and helped us. I would highly recommend staying here and enjoying the historic building. We left after a month and said good bye to a new friend. Blessed!"

"Patrick is a fantastic host. he was so accommodating. He even facilitated our early check-in as well. Clear instructions were provided to the home, use of utilities, the management of the bins and everything else. The house was in a mint condition. "The gate house we were put in is nothing like the main house rooms which are advertised. It was freezing cold, run down, beds worn out, mold in showers, 1 shower leaked all over the floor, no included breakfast, narrow spiral staircase to upstairs bedrooms. Definitely not a 4 star property. Very disappointed. "

"The owners are absolutely amazing, super kind and welcoming people! Their home is beautiful and warm, set in an amazing location with stunning views! I couldn’t get enough of the lake view from my room. The room was spotless with all the things you could need. The bathroom and shower were great too! Breakfast was really delicious too, freshly cooked to order, lots of options too! I really enjoyed talking to other guests staying at breakfast as well as the owners of the B&B. Very friendly people with an amazing home offering lovely rooms and a great stay! I’d stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you for a lovely stay! "
