"My daughter and I interacted with 3 different staff members. Each was pleasant. This hotel has been in the area for quite a number of years. Some of their basic rooms border the main street and exit out an alley, with the rest of their property being further back. The basic rooms consist of a bedroom setup with 2 Queen beds, a mini fridge, microwave, TV, mirror, and 3 bedside stands, (no dresser). The 2nd part is a fairly large bathroom with a comfy bath/shower set up, some storage, and needed hooks to help dry swim gear. One of the bathroom doors borders the alley. Outside both the front and back doors are tables to sit and relax, eat. The hotel does not include breakfast, yet there are 3-4 nearby breakfast places, 2 of which we tried and which were good. Guests receive access to the hotels own community hot pool, filled with natural hot relaxing water. The pool is cleaned out once to twice a wéek from the natural foilage debre and refilled. The hotel lobby has towels which may be purchased, as well as a variety of free hot drinks. Lava is a relaxing vacation spot."

"There was no evidence of ANY updates to anything...the hallway and in room carpeting is torn, stained and dated coloring. The room had a terrible smell, the A/C unit was loud and clunky, walls paper thin and the locking mechanism for the door subpar. Surprisingly, the continental breakfast included was decent, not amazing but given everything else it was better than expected."
