"Overall this property was great. The private pool was a real luxury to have and the place was roomy. The host was quick to assist when needed. Some drawbacks include the bed downstairs was quite hard, and the pillows a little uncomfortable. Note: They charge for electricity on-top of the room at quite a high rate. As it was our first trip to Samui we weren't aware how far away this place actually is from busier areas/markets/ sights. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, bit less than what we were looking for as taxis/ grabs are very expensive in Samui. It will definately suit some people....and those that want a quiet spot will love it, but those with kids, especially teens, may want a more lively place."

"I loved my stay from start to finish. Extended my trip to Koh Samui by 3 days and decided to stay at White Whale and I'm glad I did. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful every step of the way. The room had adorable touches throughout. The private pool was the perfect place to cool down. The restaurant had free breakfast and lattes which were pretty good. And the beach was a peaceful retreat away from the loud and vibrant tourist areas. It's situated near a 7/11 which was convenient, and there was a lot of good restaurants walking distance. Definitely try Bangpor Seafood! The only thing I could nitpick is that there is some where and tear on some of the interior, but nothing more than a standard hotel. Other than that it was clean and gorgeous. Definitely recommend it if you want something special and quiet as opposed to a busy resort."

"What an amazing villa and overall experience. My husband and I took our adult children and their spouses to Koh Samui and this house was absolutely perfect for us. Plenty of space, we enjoyed the pool and the location was great! We like secluded and away from the hustle and bustle. We rented scooters from the house which ensured peace of mind and ease (drop off and pick up at the house), groceries stocked - Brody even added some wine when we requested as it wasn’t on the pre-stock list, chef Lek prepared amazing dinners for us - which came in clutch the first night after a long two days of traveling. The meal preparation was a great deal, and absolutely delicious. We used the house taxi service (we needed a van with six of us), the prices were a little more than if you were to use Grab, but again so convenient! We booked the ethical elephant sanctuary- which was a trip highlight and a boat tour to Ang Thong Marine park - again all through the house which made everything super convenient. After reading the reviews - yes the main living areas are hot, it is Thailand! We positioned fans around the areas we congregated and were comfortable. If you needed a break from the heat the room ACs were top tier, and of course a dip in the pool makes everything better. Brody was very helpful and always available which we appreciated. This was an amazing house and trip!"

"The view from the patio was stunning, waking up to that everyday was superb. The villa suited our needs, for two couples for the week, pool, kitchen, bedrooms and main room all high quality. Upon the advise of the owned we hired a car due to the steep access hill, this enabled us to visit the local beaches and seek out the best restuarants, making this a very memorable holiday."

"Good initially with wonderful views and great aesthetics.Living room and pool were amazing lighting in venue is excellent.Out door area and internal living great for 8 people.Functionality misleading No Gym just a wobble boardDamp smelly rooms down stairs with no hot water at allNo basic amenities Soap coffee milk No Garbage removal in 5 days and a lack of garbage bags to dispose of garbage .Overall upstairs rooms excellent but downstairs rooms need airing before arrival .Electricity on top is an extra cost as explained on the website .We had a great stay ,you need to get grab van to stop at top of driveway as access is very steep cars and bikes would not take us from property to the village only van ."

"We loved this place as it's even better than the photos show. Everything was nice and clean, comfortable and the place is tastefully furnished and well equipped. The view is captivating and we spent a lot of time studying it either from the terrace, the balcony or from the swimming pool, which we always had to ourselves. Housekeeping did an amazing job both before we arrived and on the mid-week clean. They also welcomed us and assisted with our luggage. As mentioned by others your own transport is pretty much essential due to the location. It's not a million miles from the beach but we certainly didn't fancy the walk back up the hill. We prefered to park our hire car at the bottom and drive back up. There's a good selection of restaurants nearby if all types. We tend to use small local type places and our favorite was Malie eatery which we visited more than once as it had the world's best chicken satay and green curry. It's prices are unbelievably cheap as well. We would not hesitate to come back again next time we visit Koh Samui. "
