Rooms are quite small but adequate, no elevators but easy stairs. Excellent restaurant on the ground floor that gives a reduced price for hotel clients. Great location, lots of sights within walking distance. This is my third time here.

The rooms are very small, no elevators but extremely well kept. The staff understand English very well and are extremely friendly. We booked unseen and decided to expand our stay for three more days.

Excellent value and location near Khaosan Road
The hotel is very clean and great value for money. The location is excellent as it is near Khaosan Road by around 5-10 minute walk so it is not so close as to be too loud. For the price the room size was ideal with air conditioning and regular cleaning on request. Staff were all friendly and spoke English well. There was an extra catch installed on the outside of the doors for extra security if needed with a padlock. The hotel is very quiet and I was never woken up by loud noise from the hotel over the whole month I stayed there. The internet speed is also very fast and reliable signal. The only problem for me was that there is no lift and so if you have a heavy luggage like I did it can be a bit of a mission to carry up and down to the 4th floor. The hotel restaurant is also very good in it's own right and many people used to spend time in there daily. Overall I was very pleased with my stay and would happily stay again if you prefer privacy and value over staying in a cramped dorm to socialise. The management made me feel at home and the hotel had everything I needed to enjoy staying in Bangkok.

Stayed here a few years ago and was good. Got a very nice room then. This trip the room was much smaller...in fact it was tiny. I think this hotel has gone way downhill. The room I was given was more like a staff quarters room. There was a window in the room that opened to the hallway with no screen or window...someone could go right into our room from it, very unsafe. This hotel is overpriced, overrated & not good staff like others seem to think. I would advise to stay away from this place, it was extremely disappointing stay.

First of all, the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. They helped us extend our stay when we called to ask if we could check in 2 days earlier than our Expedia booking showed. They also allowed us to check out of the room late, so we could spend a little more time at a local attraction without having to pack our things. That being said, the room was a bit disappointing. We booked a Superior room in order to get a little more space, but the room was incredibly small. The bed was stuffed into an alcove with no space on either side, and there was a narrow walkway at the foot of the bed. There was very little space to place our bags, and nowhere to place toiletries in the bathroom. Although we were supplied with 2 standard towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 washcloths, the bathroom only had 2 small hooks. The area of the hotel is nice because it is very close to Khaosan road (tourist district), so many local shops have english-language menus and english-speaking staff. It is a little off the road so the hotel doesn't get as loud as the hotels ON Khaosan road. While it was nice for my first visit to Bangkok, if I returned I would probably stay in a less backpacker-y area of the city. We were very pleased with the service we received and do not regret the choice to stay at Khaosan Art Hotel, however we will probably not stay there again.

Very artistic, interesting decor, nice location. Hassan, the young man at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was dirty, though. I woke up to a huge cockroach in the bathroom. The window curtain does not block the light from the hallway, so the room never gets dark.

The facilities were very primitive, the walls were very thin and old, there was not much floor space and the floor mat did not look particularly clean. The shower head was quite weak, and there was no separate bath/shower tub but you had to step on the floor during shower. It also took the staff a while at check-in to eventually find my booking.

O lm but load. Hard to sleep :(
Friendly staff, ok breakfasts, good location. Thin walls and generator noises (?) from above the rooms on 5th floor kept us awake the 2nights we stayed. Friend changed rooms but still not comfortable. Left 5 days early without getting refund. Overall ok if you can live with a bit of noise. I used earplugs which still didn't help me sleep. Kept waking up because of slamming doors and other noises. Artwork n decor is pretty neat though.

Exactly as expected
Although we arrived a few hours before check-in, they were able to provide a room, even though the hotel was fully booked. Our room, 402, was at one end of the building. The room was small and clean. Perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to just sleep and shower. The balcony outside overlooked galvanized houses and faced one of the main night streets. The shower was accessible by outside onto the balcony. Like many other thai hotels, the shower, toilet and wash basin was all in one room. Shower pressure was great, and you adjust the temperature easily from the main heating box connected to the shower. Even though our room balcony was facing one of the main roads and it was noisy outside on the balcony, once we closed the balcony door, our room was quiet enough to sleep. Not to mention after a day of travelling we were exhausted. The bed was noticeably hard, but to me that was a non-issue. This wasnt the ritz carlton, and met my expectations perfectly. No complaints.

GREAT CHEAP HOTEL
we stayed in a doble room with AC, it was a small room but enought for 2 backpacks in the floor. Everything was very clean, we had housekeeper service everyday they give you new towels everyday and 2 bottles of water. Location was great, close to a lot of temples and to the tourist street "Khaosan Rd", from here is easy to go everywhere. The staff was friendly and nice, they save our luggages for a few days and no problem. We definetely will stay here again.

A reasonable budget choice in a fantastic location. A short walk to Khaosan Road, the Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho reclining Buddha and the river boat stop. The only let-down was the staff weren't very nice or helpful, and after 4 days I had to ask them to clean my room and change sheets/towels because they hadn't bothered to do it (they said they only clean a room if requested by a guest). For the price and location, if you're on a budget then I would recommend this hotel. Great WiFi and food in the restaurant downstairs was nice too :)

Decent basic hotel.
Location was good, but far from a metro station. Lots of food options in the area with a small night market. Small ants noted in room. Bathroom was different from photo shown.... not as nice. Bathroom was out side on the balcony, detached from room. Good for price paid

Better than a hostel
If you're like me who doesn't like to go tona hostel or backpacker place and want a private room this is a good place. I stayed for 6 days but it was a hassle to get shampoos, soap, and water bottle everyday even after room cleaning. Overall, you get what you pay for. The receptionists could learn a thing or two from the waiters of their restaurants though.

Clean rooms and very close to Khaosan Road but without the noise. But if you get a single room then there are no windows tha face out and it is a very tiny room. I changed to a double room with a tiny window that faced out so that I did not feel claustrophobic.

Good Vibes + great location near park and river.
The river and park are right next to the hotel. So tranquil and sweet to walk around that area. The restaurant is the best part, such a nice fun environment with good vibes, I sat there for a few hours. The breakfast is just amazing and I had the Salmon also at night with some drinks and also the next day for lunch. The staff were so nice, they sang happy birthday to a good looking tattooed woman.

Poor service
Service of the hotel/reception was extremely bad. They gave us first uncleaned twin room (not double as booked) which was not at all like in the photos. The management of this was not good from their side. Additionally, they charged 10baht/page for printing (which is not only poor service but a lot for Thailand). On the other hand restaurant was really good. Probably managed by different people than hotel.

Very accomodating and nice staff
The staff were really friendly and helpful in relation to the issue I had with the water heater. They gladly offered me a new room but since it was my last (final) night's stay there I didn't want to bother them with so much hassle of switching rooms. The only thing that needed some improvement was the ceiling of one of the bathrooms. A clean and fresh environment would definitely attract and keep customers despite small spaces :D Thanks for the warm hospitality! ❤

1階のレストランは、ルームキー提示で10％OFFになります。窓のない狭い部屋でしたが寝るだけなら不都合なかったし、冷房もちゃんと効きました。Wifiも問題なくつながりました。受付係から清掃係まで、スタッフの皆さんはとてもフレンドリーで親切です。 不便に感じたのは、鉄道アクセスの悪さと、ホテル周辺にコンビニが見当たらなかったことくらい。そのほかは満足できました。また利用したいです。

トイレシャワー付きのお部屋ですが、部屋もトイレシャワーもかなり狭いです。 wifiがめっちゃ弱いです。測定も1回目は遅くてタイムアウトに。2回目で出ましたが下り1Mbps…。パスワードも不要、1階はレストランの立地。遅さもあり諦めsimで過ごしました。 まくら上のエアコンから結露水が結構な頻度で落ちてきます。 扉も薄めなので夜中に廊下で話す声も響いてきます。カオサン通りの終着点？　カオサンの夜を楽しみたい人には立地は良いでしょう。 × wifi (あるけど弱い) ◯バスタオル ◯水1本 ◯シャンプー、ボディソープ × ハンガー × ドライヤー × 冷蔵庫 × 金庫 . 1泊3,903円 (900B)
