A Cozy Gem on Beech Mountain
We booked a weekend stay at this wonderful cabin. Truly, we had a lovely experience. Very cozy. The beds were super comfortable! We took advantage of the hot tub and fire pit! And if you are coming for Oz, it’s literally across the street!

Good overall, but needs new mattress in master - very uncomfortable.
Location allowed our family to hit the slopes early.
We came for the Land of Oz event. This cabin is super close to the ski resort. The hot tub was in perfect working condition. Kitchen and bathroom was greatly equipped. Loved every minute. Thank you!
Pros: This cabin was really close to the ski slopes. The fireplace was great to come back to after a cold day on the mountain. Some of the reviews said the beds were hard, but we thought they were comfortable. We got lucky and had snow one morning, which was beautiful. Would definitely rent this place again.
The only issue we had was there was an odd smell for two out of our three days.
The home is so unique in its design with a loft fit for Heidi, an old children’s book written by Spyri. The grandsons were immediately drawn to the loft, and the children’s furniture enhances its intrigue. Two bedrooms and baths downstairs provide excellent creature comfort for the adults and the great room encompassing the kitchen, dining room, and living room with the massive stone fireplace provides a warm and perfect environment for socializing. The landscape outdoors with the fire pit surrounded by moss covered boulders was another great amenity. We wish we could have stayed longer.
The house was just as described. It was enough room for our family of 5, close enough to everything we wanted to do, & hot tub was great! The only issues, which were not deal breakers & I’d still stay again, were the fact the the loft is super hot for whoever stays up there and the smell of sewage. I assume it is coming from the garage disposal. We bought a candle and some febreeze spray and it was fine. We would definitely stay here again!

Vacasa failure
Great location, just barely adequate kitchen to cook food. Plan on eating out. The grill was out of propane, the hot tub was cold and the coffee maker’s glass carafe was broken into a dozen pieces. I communicated these issues to Vacasa the day we arrived and three days later , when we left, nothing was fixed. Vacasa was responsive but it was all lip service. They had our money so what do they really care.
The only real solution they had was for me to go find a propane tank and submit a receipt for reimbursement. That’s unacceptable considering we drove past the local office to get to our property.
The best thing the owners could do is remove this property from Vacasa and manage it themselves.
Not at all what we expected based on the pictures online. We drove up to the property and first things we noticed was how I ergrownthe area was especially around the fire pit. We walked along the porch area that desperately needs a cleaning and some repairs to the front door. We opened the door to a very dingy, dim lighted home. There were crumbs on the coffee table, the ceiling fan light didn't work, so we were practically in the dark. The master bedroom mattress needs replacing as it sinks in the middle. The hall shower head had broken pieces and doesn't work. The hot tub cover had not been cleaned. We booked the property for 3 nights and stayed only for one night. We repeatedly asked for a partial refund we opened the lid to a funky smell. they have our money so what do they careell, not inviting at alltub
The host of vacasa was very communicative. Very close to the beech mtn ski mountain. Cool setting and vibe. Fire pit and hot tub. Our teens had a blast. Comfortable beds

My new favorite place!
This place was perfect for our family. Although the winding roads to get there is an adventure!! The house was clean and had most things we needed. The porch could of used some tender loving care, but it is in the middle of tons of trees. We even got to see a momma and baby deer. We will definitely be back!

Great house
View and size of house was perfect! Beds were hard but overall great.
We stayed in the domed house for 4 days! We loved the house itself!! Outside of the house the porch, and fire pit area needs some TLC. There was broken glass around the outside of the fire pit. The porch needs a good pressure washing and some paint. The hot tub was dirty, but has plenty of chlorine in the water. Definitely would stay here again!
Area restaurants are excellent. Home needs more updated lighting inside, but is clean With most anything you need for your stay. Most disappointed with all the extra fees we had to pay including a fee for the hot tub even though we weren't in it during our stay because of daily rainfall

The worst property management company I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with. The property was poorly maintained. From the moment I arrived I was already calling for maintenance. The kitchen sink was clogged and garbage disposal broken. I was told maintenance would be there in 1.5 hours… 4 hours later at 10pm they arrived. I then realized the hot tub wasn’t heating and immediately called to explain the issue. I never heard back about the hot tub over the course of the next 2 days. I called and messaged multiple times. The hot tub was one of the main reasons for booking and it was unusable. Would have appreciated at least a call back but they clearly don’t care. I filed a compensation claim and they would only refund the cleaning fee, although the entire experience was hindered. Poor management. Highly recommend not booking.
