Dog-Friendly Mountain Hideaway ✺ Fenced Yard, Fire Pit, 2 Miles to Resort

The Beech Tree Hideaway sits on 1.5 acres in the woods. With 1/2 acre of the property fenced-in, this the perfect retreat for families with dogs. Tucked away for the relaxing privacy you want in the mountains but still minutes from the ski resort, hiking, & much more!

The house has a large wrap-around deck and outdoor fire pit so you can sit out and listen to the nearby stream. With high-speed fiber internet, the hideaway is also an easy place to work from.

DOG FRIENDLY
- Pet fee is $50 per dog for the entirety of your stay
- We love having dog guests - we have no limit on weight or number of dogs
- No cats

4 BEDROOMS
- 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (1 king, 1 queen)
- 2 bedrooms that share the 3rd bathroom (1 queen, 1 twin over queen bunk bed)
- Towels and linens provided

Please note: The bunk bed room and is a space that you walk through to get to the biggest en-suite room. Doors can be closed for added privacy.

WINTER WEATHER NOTE
Vehicles with four wheel drive are strongly encouraged during winter months. The town does a good job of keeping the roads safe, and our street is plowed. The driveway is steep and could be a challenge for two wheel drive vehicles if icy.

Our host was very welcoming. There had been a snow storm and they made sure the driveway was cleared before we arrived. The house and living quarters were very clean and spacious. We were only a few miles away from the slopes. I would recommend this home to anyone who’s interested.

Mountain heaven

The mountain house was wonderful! Beautifully decorated with plenty of room for a family and still have some privacy . It’s a dog heaven ! The fenced in area was superb. The dogs ran and played outside about all day . We had a great mini vacay !

We had a pleasant stay! Good communication with host. Please be aware that there are lots of stairs if there are any mobility issues. Would be great for larger families! It was wonderful to be able to take our dog, so thank you for that!

My mom and dad and I had a wonderful stay this past week at the beach Hideaway. But more importantly, our fur babies had a wonderful time. This house is totally dog friendly! The fenced backyard was awesome and the house itself was easy to get to with a great location close to Banner elk as well as Beech Mountain. We found it to be cozy and convenient to our trips to elk River and grandfather Mountain.. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of hot water. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone with fur babies or who wants a convenient location close to skiing and hiking.

BOW-WOW!! Lima Dog's 1st Vacation with Us. Such Fun!!

The property appeared exactly as portrayed in the photos. All of the rooms served our family comfortably as well as our Siberian Husky. We enjoyed the majority of our time outside exploring Beech Mt, Skiing, visiting GrandFather Mountain, Linville Caverns and at Beech Mtn Getaway watching Lima run hard in the spacious fenced backyard. There was so much to do and not enough time. We had an awesome weekend adventure! Thank you Ben and Dana.

Dog Friendly

We had a hard time finding a place that would allow more than 2 dogs and would allow large dogs. This property allowed us to bring 3 regardless of size. Thank you!!!! Very much appreciated. They had a blast running around the yard while we enjoyed the fire pit. The house also was clean, inviting, accommodating and allowed 4 humans to spread out nicely. We had a relaxing and lovely weekend.

The house was beautiful! More room than we needed but it was nice to have space. The main thing we look for is a nice size fenced yard for the dogs to have a safe place to be outside. This property had that & more. The elevated bowl we used for water was so thoughtful, the dog basket of supplies if needed & treats. The house is very spacious & we loved the open living room, with kitchen & dinning area, tall ceiling. The back deck was also lovely, I enjoyed drinking coffee & tossing the tennis ball. The area was very quiet and we felt very safe. All the friendly deer were a very nice perk for an animal lover like me. The location was ideal for travel to several places, Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Linville. We had plenty of variety to hike, see beautiful views & falls. Lots of great food options. The bbq place at Beech had a 10 point deer hanging out for our dinner. It was awesome! Our views on the way to the house were beautiful as well. There are options for hiking near the house that we ran out of time to explore. Hope to do that next time. The hosts are very kind, with great communication. The home is very clean & well stocked with towels, sheets, kitchen items, etc. We would love to stay at their home again in the future.

We absolutely love staying at this property! This was our 4th year in a row staying here in the summer. Great for families. The backyard is great for dogs and kids as it is not too steep like many properties in Beech. The hosts are great! They are always looking for ways to improve and they are great communicators!

Great place for family and dogs!

We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were great and very informative. The property was great for kids and dogs- so nice to find an updated property that allows large dogs! Beech Mountain is great in the summer- plenty to do or just relax. We saw so many deer! We made a contest each day as to who doing the most deer. Would stay again!

A perfect spot for us and our pups!

Great Family Trip

House was clean, comfortable, and plenty of room for people to spread out. Property was in an ideal location, private yet very close to Beech Mountain resort, and hiking trails were within walking distance. The yard kept my 1yo German shepherd contained and entertained. She also appreciated the spare leashes, treats, and giant water bowl provided. They had sleds in the garage which thrilled the kids. Plenty of books and board games as well. Would absolutely rent again.

Perfect home and location for us

We've rented houses on Beech Mountain for the past 10 summers. This has been our favorite house so far! It had a nice, spacious lot with privacy (neighbors were far away which is not usual on Beech.) The location had such an easy access to get to Banner Elk or the other side of Beech. The house was very clean and had all the true necessities you'd expect (sometimes houses claim to have this, but this one really did!) Nice firepit. We very much appreciated the owners hospitality. We would definitely stay here again! A+ from us!!!!!!

Great house in an awesome location on Beech Mountain. Owners couldn’t be nicer and more responsive. Best place to stay with dogs on Beech Mountain. Incredible fenced in yard. Spacious, comfortable, cozy and extremely clean. Could accommodate at least 8 people comfortably (even though we were only 4). Best location to see deer too. Highly recommend.

Perfect Thanksgiving Gathering

My family celebrated Thanksgiving week here and had a great time. The house was well equipped with plenty of room to spread out and a huge backyard for the pups. Extra treat was to see herds of deer roaming the neighborhood. Owners were great and would definitely rent again.

Everything was just great! The house was just perfect. We saw lots of deer and a family of 4 bears just walked around.There are lots of things to do within a very short drive. We are only sad that we planned a long weekend instead of a week. We loved it and plan to return as soon as possible!

Serene and cozy stay

My husband and I traveled with our two pups for a long weekend getaway. The Beech Tree Hideaway was the perfect spot for us! Our two dogs loved the large fenced in back yard. The house is incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace every evening and the hosts left a very detailed guide that helped us find a few trails to get the dogs out to walk on. The host was very responsive for any questions I had leading up to our trip. Beech Mountain is a beautiful area that we would love to return to!

Don’t hesitate

Terrific property! The owners made our experience so seamless and they really take pride in their house. Lots of great attention to detail, like helpful information on the area and a cute jar of biscuits for the dog. The place was extremely clean and the yard is big and delightful. We would not hesitate to return.
