"I'm writing this review based more on the host than the property at Deerpark. We had booked the Deerpark location, but the morning we were to check-in, we received a message indicating that we've been moved to a different rental location due to a 'plumbing issue at Deerpark'. We were assured by Justin that the new location would be better: more room, a big backyard, etc. Upon checking in, it was bigger, but certainly not better. "The castle was even better than expected. We were pleased the moment we drove up. The rooms were all clean and well kept up. Each room was decorated different. Our family was pleased with their rooms. The breakfast room was so inviting in the mornings. We had the caterer for our meals and it was so far beyond what we were expecting. Absolutely delicious. We were gone most days but we did enjoy games of croquet and soccer before dinner. There were many choices of outdoor games available. Also in the building across from the castle they could play pool, table tennis and foose ball. The evening meal was elegant and delicious. We were here for my husbands 80th birthday. There were 14 of us. We fit into the castle beautifully. It is a holiday we will remember. Thank You Zane."

"The staff let me check in slightly early on arrival which was welcomed. The room was comfortable and well appointed, including having the ability to screen cast to the TV from chrome devices - great for playing music. Due to the heat-wave at the time of my stay the room was the warm side, a function of the large picture window giving great views of the hills to the south of the town. On the plus side cold water was readily available from the filtered water dispenser by the lift, and a large rainfall shower also provided cooling when required. The breakfast buffet has an ample selection of hot and cold food whilst the lunchtime carvery served in the bar also leaves you feeling full for the rest of the day. If you are at a loss there is a Supervalu supermarket next door and other food options within the adjacent retail park."

"Place had everything to welcome us in. Tea, coffee, biscuits, water, etc. Soft towels, good bed, excellent breakfast. I’d give it 5 stars but don’t want to raise expectations too much. For the price point, it’s excellent value. Better than most B&Bs in its class. Bathroom and TV were functional but small. If size of either is a big deal to you, be advised."
