Great location, perfect access to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Plenty of room for us. Kitchen had everything you need. Owners were very close by but we never knew they were there!
We had a great time at this beautiful property! It was ideally located to visit all the sites in the area. Gorgeous views and super friendly and helpful hosts! Can’t wait to visit again.
Amazing sunset views from the back deck. Jen and her family provided great recommendations for things to do in the area. One thing to note is that the main bedroom is huge and the 2nd bedroom is a lot smaller which might be awkward for groups of friends sharing the space. We really enjoyed our stay on the quiet side of the park.
We had a very nice stay at this rental. The description was accurate, and the owners were very helpful. We loved the bocci court and pool table, and the views were great. We would highly recommend.
We had a fabulous trip in Bar harbor and had a great stay at this property. We had great communication with host and really appreciated their welcoming of us onto their property. We got great recommendations on dining and best way to experience the area. The home had great entertainment area upstairs plus a great view from the deck. Highly recommend this property!
It was a nice set up for our family vacation in Bar Harbor. Good space for a family. Owners were very welcoming and helpful with any questions. House is ideal for someone looking to explore both Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor area.
This house had a beautiful view and a laid back feel!! It’s the perfect location to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor and still feel off the beaten path!! The landscaping was stunning!! The hosts were so friendly! Can’t wait to return!!
We thoroughtly enjoyed our beautiful trip to Maine from Michigan. Ralph and Judy were so helpful and courteous, offering advice on restaurants, biking trails, and anything we needed to make our stay perfect. The house was very clean and had everything we needed!
We loved our stay here. Communication with the property manager and owner was great. The property had everything that we needed for our stay. The upstairs was spacious and each of the kids had their own place to sleep, plus they loved having a big screen tv. We spent our days in Acadia or Bar Harbor, and this was a great location to get to both. If we come back to this area, we would love to stay here again.
We had a fabulous time and Ralph and Judy’s suggestions were perfect! Beautiful view of the Cove where we saw special sunsets. We felt that we got an excellent experience of Maine and Acadia here and part of that was the warm hospitality of Ralph and Judy. If you want to visit Maine, we would highly recommend their home!
What a wonderful property, perfect location to experience everything Acadia has to offer, and fabulous hosts. And an added bonus of beautiful sunsets from the back porch. Judy and Ralph are gracious hosts and provide great recommendations. The pool table and games are great extras for pre-teens/teens. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It has all the necessary supplies. Clean and comfortable. Property is beautiful with sunset views. It is located out of town, you would want a vehicle to get back n forth. They have great suggestions for hiking, dinner and activities. Owners respond quickly to any needs.
Lovely home. Quiet with beautiful views. Homeowner is welcoming and respectful of your privacy, and a great source for local info. Property manager is responsive and helpful. Comfortable beds for a good night’s rest. We would stay again. Thank you.
We had 3 kids 5 - 10 years old, 2 parents, and 2 gparents. The place was perfect. Casual beautiful house, beautiful setting, beautiful view, nice hike to the water, within 20 minutes of everywhere we wanted to go on the island for hiking, biking, and sight-seeing. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with Ralph (owner), who lived next door. We couldn't have asked for an easier or more pleasant stay. Thank you for sharing your house with us!
Stayed in the cottage with two families, we had our 9 year old daughter and my sister's family had a 1 year old son. The property is not large, but the perfect size for our summer vacation. The upstairs game room is perfect for kids to sleep and to hang out. The master bedroom is very large. The second bedroom is tiny, but enough for a couple. The property is clean and has a lovely view. It is secluded and you don't notice the owners next door. The property manager was very very responsive. Lovely visit.
The property was stunning, and the views were amazing! The upstairs lounging area was very comfortable and we enjoyed the pool table. The kitchen had all the essentials, which was very appreciated. We got the chance to meet the host's parents, who were so welcoming and fun to talk to! Unfortunately we had water issues throughout our stay. Both toilets had issues flushing, and our water pressure when showering was less than satisfactory (even if only one shower was being used at a time). Also, it would have been nice to have a nonstick pan to cook eggs (the only plans available were not good). The place itself was adorable all nestled away in the woods, which was very private and secluded, but we didn't realize it was 20 min drive to get to Bar Harbor with all the winding, low speed limit roads. That was our mistake, thinking that 7 minutes away meant about 10 min drive. All in all, the place is beautiful and the four of us had a wonderful trip; however, we couldn't imagine having 8 people stay in this house with how small the bathrooms are, the low water pressure for showering, and all the toilet problems.
We had a wonderful two days at the Calderone house. We were met by Ralph who popped over to introduce himself and the area - thank you so much for the tips of what to do in Acadia National Park. And the Travelin' Lobster was hands down the best lobster we had on our trip to the US!
The property is beautiful and really felt like a home away from home. We couldn't get over the views! It is such a beautiful part of the world. Our beds were comfortable and the showers hot and powerful, and the house was equipped with everything we needed. Jen was great at communicating with us throughout our stay. We wish we could have stayed for longer - we hope to be back one day!! fo
Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this beautiful guest house! The setting and property can't be beat! You MUST make a point to be there to catch at least one sunset during your stay! We caught a glimpse of it on the night we arrived, and then the weather didn't cooperate during the rest of our stay. Communication was great before our check-in, and Ralph came over to welcome us upon our arrival. When we asked if there might be a cooler we could use when traveling into Acadia, he wasted no time in bringing over not one, but two! The home was clean, and had everything we needed. The location was great for our outings to Acadia, Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor. We also enjoyed playing bocce ball in the yard!
