Sara was a wonderful host. Her breakfasts were amazing. The fire pit was a wonderful relaxing end to the day. Very convenient to shopping and dining.

The property location was excellent. An easy walk to town and harbor. It was quiet. We really enjoyed the evening happy hour and snacks. Wonderful breakfast. Host Sara and Rebecca were great!

We loved the staff and the wonderful breakfasts. The location couldn’t have been better. We also so enjoyed reading on the beautiful wrap-around porch. We would highly recommend it to our friends.

This property is just wonderful. Staff and the entire atmosphere is so relaxing. Despite there being several other guests if felt as if you are alone. Staff are wonderful, kind and respectful. The location is right off the main shopping area of Bar Harbor which is convenient. The proximity does nothing but add to the property. It is private and quiet. A few block walk and a bike ride and you are in the park’s carriage roads. The rooms are clean and well appointed. A great trip! We will be back again.

The Yellow house Inn was the most perfect location in town. We were walking distance to all restaurants and water views! Sara is so sweet and accommodating. There are so many touches that make your stay that much more special. We will definitely be back.

The innkeeper, Sara, was very accommodating and pleasant. We stayed in the largest room which was very clean and fresh with a great bed. (no tub if that matters) The location was perfect for short walks to and around Bar Harbor and an easy drive to Acadia National Park. The most disappointing part of our stay was breakfast! If you’re looking for a fresh cooked breakfast, this is not the place. Stayed 4 mornings and had Hard Boiled eggs twice and quiche twice. Snacks and drinks were available 24/7. Visited the 1st week in October and this place isn’t cheap. All other areas of the Inn were very comfortable and relaxing. 7/10 rating for us who have visited B&B’s throughout the country.

We had a very short but absolutely amazing stay. Sara made us feel welcome, made us feel like a local and made our stay perfect. Definitely recommend the yellow house inn. Perfect 10!!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Yellow House Inn, it was the perfect place to stay in Bar Harbor. We found it very quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast and happy hour were great. It's only a short walk to dining and shopping in Bar Harbor, or a short drive to Acadia National Park. Very relaxing, we would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property with lovely porches, flowers, rooms, and friendly staff. Continental breakfast at 8:00 am, but Coffee, yogurt, and granola available earlier, which we appreciated as early risers. Easy walk to all of downtown Bar Harbor, but off the busy, crowded, and loud streets.

We had an amazing visit to Bar Harbor, thanks in great part to the Yellow House Inn. It's super close / walkable to Main Street (where all the action is), and yet it feels secluded in the best way possible. Highly recommend!

Yellow House Inn is in an excellent location for exploring Bar Harbor. Everything is within walking distance. The outside porch and fire pit are the perfect places to relax. We absolutely loved this B& B.

Very quiet abd beautiful surroundings. Beautiful house and grounds.The large wrap around porch and fire pit were fantastic. Town shops were very close, easy walking 2 blocks, beautiful paved walk around the harbor was only 2 blocks away,so this place is in a great location. The only negative thing was breakfast was not as seen in the website, it was limited. Nothing hot… need to update the website. The B&B in Boothbay had hot breakfast and other choices so it’s not covid causing the limited breakfast. But overall we were very happy with our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yellow House Inn! Great location and amazing porch with lots of nice outdoor seating. Everyone was so incredibly nice and all of the amenities were very thoughtfully added. We would definitely stay there again if we return to the area.

Go-To Home Away From Home in Bar Harbor
The updates that were made to the Yellow House Inn are so nice!! The wrap around porch and new fire pit w/ new Adirondack chairs was our favorite place to hangout. Sara was a such great host and made us feel so at home. We had the Belmont room and it was so spacious! The bed was very comfortable (and I can’t say that often for many B&Bs). The complimentary well-stocked snack pantry and fridge with waters was the best. We definitely took advantage of it when we went on a hike in Acadia. Breakfast always had a tasty warmed baked good every morning and great coffee or espresso. (Plus other items to choose from) It’s in a great location where it’s set back from the road so you don’t hear too much traffic, but very close walking distance to everything downtown. Very peaceful in the morning as well. All in all, I highly recommend the Yellow House Inn for any trip to Bar Harbor and we’ll definitely come back again.

Chris and Pat we’re absolutely wonderful hosts. They had a very safe, welcoming and pleasant place and were up to date on all of the precautions due to covid. My wife and I had such a nice trip there. The breakfasts were terrific as well, all made fresh on premises. Thank you for making our trip so perfect!

Easy to find with a one minute walk to Main Street. Beautiful home and renovations. Very spacious room. It was all beyond our expectations! Lovely wraparound porch with cushioned rocking chairs where we drank wine every afternoon. This place was absolutely fantastic and we will definitely go back. The hosts were gracious and the breakfast was delicious!

Loved the location of this B&B. It sits in a little cluster of B&B's just off main street behind the Bar Harbor Inn. It was close to everything but still felt secluded. The main house was beautiful and had very nicely sculpted gardens and grounds. It has a interesting sculpture garden in the front. There's seating on the wrap around porch which is great to sit at and relax. The breakfast was delicious. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and where to go and do, which was very helpful. Our room was great and the bed was very comfortable! We will definitely stay here again!

Great guest house in great location.
Great location in the center of town. House is beautiful and rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable. The place lacks the extra touch on service that you expect at this price point. But in the whole we were very happy with our stay.

Great location, peaceful, perfect quaint getaway.
We lucked out when we reserved this place. It's one of the quietest places we've ever stayed, and you would never know you are just a few yards from Main Street Bar Harbor in one direction and the coast in the other. The huge porch is nice; breakfast is homemade; and the innkeepers and staff are wonderful. You could park and leave your car the entire stay - walk the nearby coastal paths and streets of Bar Harbor or take the buses to tour Acadia.

This was an amazing place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor. The owners are incredibly hospitable and gracious, and very knowledgable about the best activities/hikes/things to do in Acadia and Bar Harbor. The breakfasts are outstanding - SO delicious! There is housekeeping every day, the bed and breakfast is incredibly clean and well-kept, and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I would 10/10 stay here again, and I'm not sure I'd even want to check out any other place in Bar Harbor! It was an amazing, perfect Maine experience.

Great location, but not "on" the water. Easy walk to town and restaurants. Pat and Chris, and Cecelia, were very helpful with maps and suggestions for tours and things to do. Breakfast was well prepared, and sometimes a bit too creative. A little optionality would have made it better. Lots of outside noise early in the morning from trucks backing up as they service the surrounding inns and restaurants, so sleeping with open windows had a downside

The house is immaculately clean and inviting. Very conveniently located; 1/2 block to the coast, restaurants, etc. What it lacks in views, it makes up in charm, comfort, and convenience. The beds were nice, hot water endless, and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure you had what you needed. They served scrumptious breakfasts every morning such as tomato tart, grit soufflé, and savory french toast. They expertly accommodated my gluten allergy so I was able to enjoy everything my husband did without missing a delicious bite.

This Inn puts the Breakfast in “bed and breakfast”. We’ve stayed at other B&B’s in Bar Harbor over the years and The Yellow House exceeded in hospitality, location, and delicious breakfast. The Inn keepers are personable and detail oriented. We felt like valued guests.
