We stayed at NH Collection for 5 nights with our two young adult children. We had 2 balcony rooms. We stayed here as the location was great and close to our youngest child who is currently studying abroad. Upon checking in, my husband and I wanted to nap as we had traveled from the US and been awake nearly 24 hrs. Our room was on the 10th floor directly below the 11th floor bar with live DJ. We requested a room change but couldn't move until the next day. The second night (in our new room), we discovered the air conditioning wasn't working. We spoke to them the next morning and were told we simply hadn't kept the key card in the slot (even though we had). The third night there was still no AC. Finally the 4th day, the manager sent workers up (& came herself climbing on a ladder in our room to feel the vent in the ceiling). The workers admitted the hotel is undergoing new AC coils and our room hadn't been updated yet. Our children's room was plenty cool so we knew what could be expected. They offered us 2 free drink tickets at the 11th floor lounge (which we declined). We spoke to them again and told them we were disappointed in our room. They told us to email the hotel branch manager. I emailed him the day we checked out and never received a response. We travel quite a bit and have never been treated so poorly. We paid for 2 "Superior rooms with balconies" for 5 nights. I would never stay at this hotel again.
