This was in a great location, both in terms of being close to Pl. Catalunya and La Rambla and also being in one of the old buildings, so you could stay in the character of Barcelona. It is not a hotel, but a hostel, so amenities are scaled back. However, one of the two shared showers was out for the whole of our two night stay and one of three toilets was difficult to flush. We knew from previous reviews that the breakfast was sparse, so were prepared. The beds were comfortable, however, and the working shower was warm and had good pressure. The staff were friendly and available via WhatsApp to check when you were arriving, so they could be there to let you into the building. Our room had a lovely balcony onto the street, which added to the charm of staying in real Barcelona architecture.
