Beautiful B&B
This is a beautiful and unique b&b. It is in a 1930s grand building. The ceilings are about 16 feet high, and all the classic details have been preserved. Friendly hosts. Nice breakfast. Balconies in the room, and a big terrace overlooking the city where you can have breakfast in nice weather. In a great neighborhood, and you can walk to many attractions.

Everything about the property was perfect, the owner was very welcoming. It had great views. It was a bit noisy due to staying in a main street but that is out of their control. Overall, it was a pleasure staying as a guest!

We were greeted by a very helpful efficient young lady. Our breakfasts were fresh items including fresh orange juice. All items were plentiful and the area to eat was very pleasant. The location was convenient for busses and the underground service and a short walk to the top of the Ramblas. Restaurants and bars were close by

The staff was extremely helpful with information on transportation about the city. The breakfasts were very tasty, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice. Location was very convenient to metro and buses as well as restaurants and shopping. Vincent and Gabriella charming. We were offered a breakfast to go since we had an early departure. Sadly, we left it behind in our haste to meet up with 6am taxi that they ordered for us day before. Comfortable bed too. Only fall back was noise from street, but earplugs were provided to off set that. Very nice job to the entire staff!

La Casa Gran is an exceptional B and B! Victor and Anna are Warm and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the breakfasts scrumptious! Best B and B in Barcelona and within walking distance La Rambla and around the corner from the hop on hop off bus.

Something special for Barcelona stay
The location of this b&b is excellent with some wonderful restaurants and bars in and around this hotel. The owners are very quick to respond to any questions you have. The breakfast was wonderful a the home made breads and jams very nice indeed. Also for us the great collection of real LPs! Jazz that is played during breakfast, not too loudly. The terrace leading out the breakfast room is something special. You can relax out there anytime not just at breakfast. Would definitely recommend this b&b with a difference. For someone who enjoys great quality.

We loved our weekend break at La Casa Gran in Barcelona! Victor, Anna and Daniela made us feel at home, thank you! The room was spacious with a comfy bed and a quirky layout. The breakfast either in the dining room or on the big patio was fantastic! There was a choice of organic meat, cheese, fruits and breads, jams, home baked treats, cereals, fresh orange juice and tea/coffee. The location was great as well with plenty of eateries and bars etc nearby and public transport on your doorstep if you didn't fancy walking to the centre. La Pedrera is only about 15 minutes and Casa Battlo about 20 minutes on foot away where you can also catch the train from Paseo de Gracia Station to the airport. We highly recommend La Casa Gran and will definitely come back!

Home away from home in Barcelona
Totally wonderful home away from home. We had an amazing stay at this lovely b&b in a classic old Barcelona flat. Easy access to main attractions and streets. In a lovey area, feels totally safe and there are nice restaurants close by. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable, ours was equipped with a balcony and seating area, as well as deep soaking bath and shower. Breakfast was lovely with home made cake or tortilla and fresh orange juice. Host was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Overall we couldn’t have hoped for a better place to stay, very deserving of the high rating achieved.

Wonderful hosts! All 3 staff shared helpful tourist tips. Fabulous breakfast included in a sunny solarium or patio. Comfortable bed, excellent shower with good water pressure. Nice neighbourhood with excellent selection of restaurants in walking distance. Close proximity to major attractions but the bit of distance creates for a relaxing neighbourhood atmosphere.

A Wonderful Place to Stay
This is a perfect location. Steps from the Hop On- Hop Off , metro station and a bus stop at the front door. The owners were extremely helpful and answered our many tourist questions as well as booking tours for us. Breakfast was also quite good including fresh baked goods, croissants, cheese, lunch meat, fruit, cereal, fresh squeezed orange juice and more.

Location was fantastic. The owner was away for most of our stay, but the person who was filling in was delightful. She made gluten free cookies and got bread for me. She also worked hard to obtain train tickets on line for us since the station did not sell them ahead of time in person and the website would not accept our credit card for some reason. The street noise was significant, but room had heavy shutters and was spacious. My only complaint and it still makes me wonder was why the price of the room jumped from an average of $120 (low of $111) to $176 on last night. This made no sense on a Monday night and really irritated us before we got there, enough so that we almost cancelled. Glad we didn’t.

Left on your own most of the time
The B&B location is central and there are many restaurants in the area. It is quite busy and so can be noisy at times if the windows are open. I stayed at the B&B for 4 nights and only saw the hosts once during this time so was not able to get any local advice while there. I felt this was the downside to my stay at the B&B. Otherwise, I found the B&B to be very comfortable.

Highly recommended
After looking at the pictures and deciding to book somewhere with character...La Casa Gran DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! The room was perfect and the staff and owners were extremley helpful and super friendly....the breakfast was homemade and organic and the atmosphere that was created with music and company whilst sitting on the terrace was fantastic! The Hop on hop off tour bus stop was literally round the corner that took you round the whole of barcelona city. There were plenty of amazing restaurants and shops nearby also. If you want to avoid the soulless travelodge style B&B's and want to experience a traditional yet modern place to stay...this is the place for you.

Victor and Anna run the charming La Casa Gran B&B in a convenient location in Barcelona. My husband and I spent the last few days of our honeymoon there, and enjoyed our stay so much! The B&B was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. The breakfast was delicious, including homemade baked goods and fresh-squeezed juice. They were easy to communicate with and made our stay very pleasant!

I had a lovely stay with Victor and Anna as my hosts. They were very friendly, had a nice continental breakfast in a sunny room of the hotel. My room was clean and comfortable although a bit noisy right on the street. Good for city watching, though. They are terrifically accommodating, and I would stay there again in a minute.

Fab stay at La Casa Gran
We had a brilliant stay here. Anna and Victor were Greta hosts and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was delicious, with organic local produce and home baked cakes from Anna. The decor of the rooms are nice and quirky. My mum hadn’t been back to Spain in 30 years and loved her trip back! We will definitely be back sooner next time and stay here again.

A no brainer B&B in Barcelona.
Fantastic B&B with even better hosts, Ana and Victor. Very friendly and go out of their way to answer your questions and accommodate your requests. The metro stop, Diagonal, is a hike but not bad. From Airport, it is better to take the 2 metro lines (F9 and then F5) than take a taxi or Uber. This is the most economical way as well as the quickest way to get to the B&B. After that, for local transport the Bus V13 is just across the road and pretty much gives you access to all other modes of public transport. Even though the B&B is on the main Avenue called Diagonal, it is still quiet with the thick window panes. In the evenings, you can open the bedroom balcony (a small one but two can sit and watch the vehicles and people go by) and relax or read a book. A nice touch and boon for early morning raisers like me--Ana leaves instant Nescafe coffee and milk at the counter and there is a plug-in hot water kettle. You can help yourself to some hot coffee if you are an early raiser. The breakfast is very nice albeit a little late start of 8:30 AM. I wish they would start at 7:30 or 8:00 AM. The little courtyard outside the breakfast room is very nice and you can sit there and take pictures. The breakfast contains cereal, hot milk, fruits, cakes, eggs if you want Ana to get it for you, etc. More than enough to get your day going. The room and bathroom are very nice. The shower is awesome. No complaints at all. Wifi also works beautifully. No TV in the room.

Incredible B&B on a beautiful area!!
I booked this B&B for my parents as part of travel gift we gave them. They haven't traveled in a long time and they are on their 70's so something are just more complicated for them sometimes. So I was kind of worried for not booking a big hotel chain for them, however I loved the pictures and comments of La Casa Gran B&B so I took a leap of faith. Boy was I right! My parents could not stop saying amazing things about this lovely B&B, the building and rooms are beautiful and very clean, it is located in an incredible location right in the middle of Barcelona. The breakfast was great, but what they praised for the most was the couple that manages the place!! They were amazing with them, guided and helped them with everything, they even help my father with the bus card which he was really frustrated with. I really want to thank you for being so kind to them, they really loved their stay!! Would give a thousand stars if I could, Thank you!!

Central location in Barcelona
This B&B is nicely located at the centre of the main sights and for those who don't mind walking, most places are within walking distance. Victor and Hannah (the owners) are most helpful and willing to assist with any local knowledge or information i.e.; local restaurants, which bus to take etc etc. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable if a little basic but this is reflected in the very modest cost, especially given its location. Breakfasts are lovely! A nice selection of traditional goods and most days, one of Hannah's home made cakes, served in a quaint dining room with a delightful roof top veranda overlooking the main street. We would happily return here on our next visit.

Charming Barcelona B&B central to everything!
Our recent stay at La Casa Gran B&B was delightful. It is a charming B&B in the Exempli section of Barcelona, convenient to so many of the attractions we wanted to visit. It is positioned to be within walking distance to Sagrada Familia, La Rambla. There are numerous restaurant, coffee bars, wine bars in the area. The Hop On Hop Off buss stops just across the street and there are many, many local buses that stop just outside the door which makes traveling around the city very convenient. The B&B is in a charming older building with real character and has a beautiful outdoor patio area for a having a glass of your own wine at the end of a busy sightseeing day. The hosts are a lovely young couple, Anna & Victor, who go out of their way to help you with bus routes and anything you need to insure a delightful stay. Anna's daily homebaked goodies were a treat each morning, as was waking up to the wonderful smell of them baking! I would certainly recommend staying with them if you are visiting Barcelona. There is Wifi, but no TV which was a pleasant change. Our room had charming French doors that opened on to a small balcony over looking the city streets. Be advised, it can be noisy, but the hosts provide ear plugs and we always travel with a portable sound machine. I enjoyed the busy city street sounds and after a day of sightseeing, the street sounds seemed to lull me to sleep! I would definitely stay there again if travels take me to Barcelona.

Best Stay Ever in Barcelona
If you want to visit Barcelona and be near everything then La Casa Gran is the place . The place is awesome the service is great the food is authentic the music played on their record player makes you feel at home . Victor and his wife are excellent hosts the price is great . Now if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs for sleeping but I tell you we had a great stay . Will return again

The Casa Gran was a lovely experience. It was like being a very welcome guest in a private home. Victor and Anna were friendly and helpful, and each breakfast brought freshly squeezed orange juice and a new local speciality. The B&B itself is a lovely apartment decorated in a fascinating mix of old and new styles. The surrounding area is upmarket and pleasant and feels very safe to return to at night, particularly from the wilder end of Las Ramblas ! It doesn't appear to have been discovered by us tourists yet, so gives a great taste of local life. There are good restaurants and tapas bars near by, well worth a visit before you wander further afield, or on your return from a day of sightseeing. We walked quite a bit to explore Barcelona because that is what we enjoy but there are good Metro and bus links (we got there from the airport with just one change). The Casa Gran is a very refreshing alternative to the usual characterless chain hotels, we would definitely recommend it and hope to return soon.

Urban cool and eco-minded.
Lovely hosts, eco-minded environment, centrally located to many city attractions, healthy breakfast and helpful suggestions re: local dining and sightseeing. Pleasantly kitchy (loved the jazz music during breakfast). Highly recommended. Would definitely return.

Formidable !
Nous avons été accueillis par Victor, hôte très sympathique et attentionné. La communication avec lui a été très bonne grâce à son anglais irréprochable. Concernant l’appartement, il est situé dans un très beau quartier de Barcelone. A la fois calme et rassurant. La chambre qui nous a été proposé était très mignonne, propre, spacieuse et doté d’un ventilateur au plafond en plus d’un ventilateur moderne sur pied qui compense largement le manque de climatisation. Pour le petit déjeuné, notre hôte nous laisse le choix entre 3 options, nous avons choisi l’option 3 que nous avons trouvé formidable : très copieuse avec des produits frais. Concernant le parking, il est situé à une petite dizaine de minutes du logement, c’est un parking souterrain privé sur 4 niveau et sécurisé. Le prix du parking est retiré de la note final : pour 2 nuits, 20€ de parking donc moins 20€ sur la note que nous avons réglé pour les 2 nuits. Encore merci à Victor et à son épouse Anna que nous n’avons pas eu le plaisir de rencontrer.

Merci à Victor et son épouse, nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Barcelone. La pension est très propre, le petit déjeuner top, seul bémol notre chambre donnait sur une rue un peu brillante, mais c'est souvent le cas dans les grandes villes...
