Great for solo travellers
I booked a 4 night stay at Sant Jordi’s for my stay in Barcelona, which was an excellent choice in hindsight; it felt like a safe “home away from home” hub for the entire time. The staff were particularly friendly, and the hostel itself holds a lot of character with its rock&roll themed decor, along with all the daily activities and social opportunities it has on offer. The location was great - not far from the main CBD of Barcelona but just far enough away to feel like a good place to rest. Everything was close and accessible enough. My only complaint was that there was an issue with the door leading to the balcony in my 6-bed room; which got fixed on the day I was checking out. The bathroom in my room was also a wheelchair accessible style - and had a funny smell to it; so I used the main shared bathroom next door most days instead. Other than this, I have high praises for this hostel and would definitely return next time I’m in Barcelona, or another one of their branches in other cities :)

Breakfast choice not very good. Mattresses were rather thin and a little uncomfortable, however the place was clean and staff helpful

This Hostel was just Awesome... As a single traveler I had the best of experiences. Stuff where very helpful, cheerful.Really made you feel welcome. Hostel is in a great location walking distance to major transport spots like Metro and bus stations. Bar crawl and live shows are provided. Will definitely be back. As a first time solo female traveler, I was very nervous about staying in a hostel but the staff were very friendly and wonderful about helping me get around Barcelona and even printing out my ticket to the Barca vs Inter Milan Champions League Game. I especially want to thank Alby, not sure that's sorely right and forget his name but he showed us a fantastic time during the pub crawl. The hostel was very clean and I made some amazing friends, would definitely recommend this place as the rooms were great, the pool was a bonus and they offered yoga on the rooftop which was fun to take part in. Great location, walkable and minutes to everything including the metro.

When I booked the place I booked for the price and location. I got out of my shuttle and realized it was well worth it. It has a cool unique chill vibe style and vibe. They people that worked there were very friendly, helpful and informative. I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. Travelling as a solo woman sometimes can be “scary” but everyone including other guests were so friendly and inviting. I would go back there in a heart beat. Food, pub crawl to the way the rooms are set up. Loved it!!!

One of the best hostels in Barca!!
As always Sant Jordi Rock palace is one of the best! When I always come back to barcelona I always book with them, as long as they’re not sold out haha. Their staff is some of the best and most helpful! Marco led some really cool pub crawls and Elisa did an amazing job helping me with any questions I had. Highly recommend!

Fabulous building with rock-themed decorations in a good neighbourhood 5 mins walk to metro station. Nice breakfast and sunny outdoor terraces and rooftop with city views. Hot showers and no queuing for bathrooms. Comfortable bed with light and charging point, however Wifi was only average speed, and I couldn't watch videos. I booked an 8-bed dorm but there were 10 beds in the room, and they said the extra beds are not used until the high season in summer.

Where do I start.... after having a bad experience in Amsterdam I wasn't expecting much from st jordie but was I wrong..... it was almost like the hostel gods looked down on me and said let's show that guy how good hostels can be and st.jordie was exactly that and more. I was definitely not prepared for this much fun so unfortunately I would have to go back again just so I can relieve every moment once again.... You guys have set the bar very high.....

Amazing Barcelona Hostel Experience
Very clean and safe hostel. They do a lot for you, private buses to take us to bars/clubs every night, great basement area for playing beer pong and getting dinner at the hostel, and a chill pool (not a full sized one) on the roof. I traveled solo and met some amazing people in my dorm. Would've loved to have a bar in the hostel itself but there's a 24 hour supermarket right next to it so not bad :)

Rock Palace delivers everything it advertises - a clean hostel with rock-themed decorations, optional parties, and lots of fun. I'd stay here again next time I'm in Barcelona - and there will be a next time!

Fun, Rocking Hostel near the upper Rambles
The hostel is an older building that has been painted in vivid colors and modernized. Many places to hang out: computer room with six computers, bean bag room, another with many couches, the 6th floor roof with a large terrace with many chairs and loungers and a small pool. The basement is where you will hear soft rock music all day until about 21:00 to 23:15 when harder stuff is played for the young people hanging around until hitting the many bars and dance places in the neighborhood (organized Pub Crawl some nights). The basement has three large tables plus an outdoor terrace with many smaller tables. A large kitchen available for cooking and keeping food in refrigerator. They cook food for guests (pasta, burritos, paella) at a cheap 4 Euros some nights. Stayed in an 4 bunk bed room split in two for more rook with large lockable lockers via key card. Only slept in the room, busy in Barcelona or in the basement or roof terrace meeting people from all over the world. Made some nice new friends. WiFi was excellent. Many great restaurants nearby.

Best Hostel in Barcelona!!! - a must stay!
This is by far the BEST HOSTAL in Barcelona, I would highly recommend having had an amazing stay here. Staff were very friendly and polite and really took good care of us. Rooms are clean with great showers, plenty storage space in locker & excellent Wifi. Location is great, near various bars/cafes/restaurants and mix of people staying was fantastic - met pple from Europe, Canada, America and Brazil. Great pool and chill out lounge area in basement with DJ and bar games in the evenings with guests meeting up and eating together. The hostal arranges social nights out every night to bars/clubs with free entry (not many hostals offer this), I met some great pple from around the world and had an awesome time socialising and dancing the night away. I would highly advise any solo traveller or group of friends to stay here, guaranteed to get some company and make some memories. Ask for 2nd floor for the bigger rooms if poss.

I absolutely loved this hostel! It is incredibly clean, beds are comfy & the staff was super helpful. There are dinners and free nights out every night, which makes it super easy to meet people if you are a solo traveler, life myself. I would highly recommend to anyone.
