I did not have a ocean view I had a basement room ..it was clean basic and adequate..it’s not exactly ocean front, some of the photos used are not of the property itself, but at a beach kiosk quite a walk away and was closed which is quite deceiving and I would not say it’s a hotel and it’s not a bed and breakfast either it’s a guest house room and bathroom, no Wifi, some form of satalite tv no English speaking channels it did have a fridge and on the positive was lovely quite and safe at night. A bus stop at the end of the road.. the beach itself is more a rocky coast I’d say not ok to swim at… disappointing no shop or anywhere walkable… the pool and gardens looked lovely but weather was not great.. Also was reminded an excessive amount of times to pay €250 in cash as security plus to pay extra €20 for arriving at 2130 in hindsight I probable should have stayed in a hotel in Bari..don’t be lured by the beachfront photos

The outdoor swimmingpool was very Nice. We used it every day of the stay. The announced wifi did not work, and when I Asked the hostess she said the Walls are too thick so they stop the signal. We tried to get a connection outside, but it was weak, on-and off, so not practical. The hostess seemed a bit intense from the start, but Nice. That lasted only till day two, when she came to our door a bit agitated: Had we been to the beach and used one of the towels? I said yes we have. She then claimed that the towel is now full of bacteria and must be destroyed. I would be charged €20 for the towel out of my deposit. It seemed to me that the best way to deal with the situation was to say nothing. The towel I shook out and rinsed off the sand that was on it. Same condition as before.At checkout next day she seemed angry again, and sure enough; she gave back just 180 of my €200 deposit. As I stood there in her living room I happened to see her computer screen— wich had live video off all the outdoor areas we had used. I can not remember seeing signs informing about this. Sligthly creepy, but not a big deal. Hotels dot com have already reimbursed me the money she stole and then some, but the hostess made us feel uncomfortable for the last day and a half of the stay. I hope for the guests to come later that she gets better. Never had to give a bad review before, but this had to be said.
The "bacteria infested" towel as we left it.

We stayed at the villa 2 nights on a whirlwind trip to Puglia. The villa is located in The San Giorgio neighborhood of Bari and is a welcome sight once the heavy gate at its entrance is opened. The hostess was most gracious and accomodating, the room by the pool with en suite bathroom is meticulously appointed in good taste. If there is a drawback, is the fact that breakfast is not included. Given that, the price then is a bit high.

Relax a due passi dal mare

Siamo stati due giorni , ambiente gradevole e proprietari molto gentili e disponibili. Non abbiamo potuto usufruire della bella piscina perchè purtroppo era freddo , peccato sarà per la prossima volta. Buona colazione completa di tutto. La collocazione nella periferia sud , sul mare , di Bari , a mio avviso rende assolutamente necessario avere un mezzo di locomozione. Comodo il parcheggio interno e il wifi.

Tout près de Bari et au calme

Très bon séjour d'une semaine à la Villa Dafné. Accueil chaleureux, gentillesse et grande disponibilité de Magdalena et sa maman. La pension est impeccable et les chambres d'une extrême propreté. Jardin au doux parfum du sud et piscine pour se rafraîchir. Tous les matins, vous goûterez un délicieux gateau fait maison. A conseiller à tous ceux qui veulent découvrir les Pouilles en étant tout près du centre ville (6 km) mais au calme de l'agitation de Bari, facile à rejoindre en bus (arrêt à 2 mn de la maison). Très agréable après une journée de visite de retrouver la tranquillité de la villa. Encore un grand merci à Magdalena et sa maman pour leur gentillesse et disponibilité.
